Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:

Minnesota Dept. of Labor & Industry Consent Order

On January 25. 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business: submitted false or misleading information on its initial license application and renews, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 1(b)(2)(2020); engaged in fraudulent or deceptive practices by failing to maintain an eligible responsible licensed individual for its technology systems license, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(8) and 326B.33, subd. 17 (2020); demonstrated incompetence, untrustworthiness or financial irresponsibility when it allowed a registered unlicensed individual to perform or offer to perform technology systems work without an eligible licensed individual and solicited a worker to pull wire for case, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(9) (2020) and performed or offered to perform technology systems work in Minnesota without the required technology systems contractor license, a violation of Minn. Stat. 326B.33, subds. 14, 15, 16 and 17 (2020).

Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed that their technology system contractor license is revoked, and the business and its owner, Deanna Bratsch shall cease and desist from performing or offering to perform technology systems and/or electrical work in Minnesota. The Order also stated that Deanna Bratsch is prohibited from being an owner, officer, partner or member of a technology systems or electrical contractor firm for two years from the date of the Order.  The business agreed to pay $2,000.00 of a $5,000.00 fine with the balance stayed on the condition that the business and owner fully comply with the terms of the Order. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to the below link.
