Purchased from Carhop a few months ago, was desperate, have a 1 year old and just recently moved so went through a bit of a financial hardship. The account manager ****** ***** is very rude and unprofessional. He was emailing me very hostile and asking me why he has to wait a specific date when I told him Im going through a hardship and will pay a specific day so Im fully up to date. I got tired of emailing him so I called, he told me if Im not going to make any payments to bring the car back (which I have been making payments) and when I told him about my hardship before he said okay.. so whats next Im still a customer and still pay for the vehicle. I feel very disrespected and cannot believe this the way car hop speaks to their consumers. I guess when you cant go to a traditional car lot you have to deal with terrible customer service.CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

Purchased a car from car hop with my husband they keep calling saying we're missing payments however when I got the ledger and compared it to our bank accounts money was paid but not credited to the account however there is a check payment on our account for less than a payment and we have never written a check when I try to address this with finance I get blown off and I even had a representative tell me there have been cases of payments being applied to other accounts. We have continued to make payments however they still keep threatening to come get the carCarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

when I first purchased the vehicle car hop had the emergency brakes on which leads me to suspect they knew something was wrong with the vehicle. When inquired online about the vehicle I told them that I wanted a 2007 and ************************************************************************************************ so I went to ********* who lied in the email and told me that the 2007 and *************************** crystal was infact at their ********* location so when I got to ********* they told me that they did not have any **** focuses and that I would have to come back the next day and do a lot swap with the Crystal location. Well I came back the next day and all of a sudden they had a ************************************************************************************************************************************************************ about and they had the emergency brakes on it in which the sells person made it seem like the emergency brakes were left on by accident but the fact i was told they didnt have a **** focus and i would have to go to another location to get the focus I wanted and then they suddenly had a focus last minute causes me to believe that they knew the vehicle wasn't to be sold and was not properly inspected by their mechanics before selling it to me but they didn't want me to go to a different location so they sold me a bad car. About 4 weeks after purchasing the vehicle on Sunday September 10th my brakes went completely out while I was driving almost causing an accident and almost causing me to lose my life I called Car Hop and they informed me that there was nothing they can do about my brakes being fixed so I paid $700 to fix my own brakes after only having the vehicle for four weeks. The workers are comfortable lying and it's not good businessCarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

Do not go here unless you are really desperate for a ********* have no other options. If you go right now to the web site and view national city inventory you will see that they have a 2007 ***** cobalt for $8,695 with 113k miles and probably at 19% interest rate like I had you will be probably be paying with tax and interest well over $10,000 for a car that's 17 years old. Anywhere else you see a 2007 cobalt on offerup or ********** you will see this type of car for about $1200. Another issue was they cleared the check engine light before I bought the car. With in 1 hour after leaving the lot the check engine light came on. My mechanic plugged in his scanner and his scanner told him exactly when the last time the codes were cleared. The codes were cleared on my car before I got it. You can tell because of the milage. I got my car with around ******* miles and the codes were cleared well before ******* according to his scanner..they hide issues from you..im going to report them to the BBB and the BBB for cars..It's absolutely ridiculous that they get these cars that are ***** years old that are $1000-$1500 any where else and they sale these cars for 5x-10x more than the value of the car. You freaking serious carhop? I see other small car lots in ********* selling used cars for $5,000-$6,000 and they are 2013 and up. For $10,000 someone can go buy a very nice decent used car that's 2015 and up and your selling 20 year old cars for $10k. They don't care for you. If your car breaks down like mine did your on your own.CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

I purchesed a vehicle from car hop always made on time payments even after the bankruptcy i continued to make on time payments , Received multiple texts to upgrade and buy a new vehicle. I decided to visit the store to see what options they had and I was told that the finance company did not want to help or have options for me, I asked myself why waste peoples time and act like they are already approved just to get to the store to find out you are already denied. After that i decided i did not want to do business with them anymore for wasting my time. I filled for bankruptcy which took away my obligation to pay off the loan. I called to have them pick up the vehicle and which they refused.CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

I purchased a 2014 ****** versa from car hop in ************. Before I signed the papers Ik the transmission was going out so I told them to repair it for me at no cost besides the 250 deductible fee. They did. Got the took it to the shop within the next couple days. Its been over a month now. Ive called car hop every week since they lied to saying the parts for the transmission had been approved for the shop. I call the shop within the next couples to see if the shop got the approved email to get the parts the shop no they havent approved us yet. So carhop has been lying to me. This has been back and forth like this for weeks now. I havent drove my car a single time since I bought it. Ive been paying payments on the car on time and I havent drove it once. I just want to see if I can give the car back no more payments just leave it. Im done with this car and this business.CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

I purchased a 08 Kia ***** on 6/21/24, the check engine light came on. I was sold the car with a broken back door, the window doesnt roll down, the head gasket was busted, the serpentine belt is broke, the pulleys are broke on the engine, oil has not been changed, fluids were not changed, they were dry as a bone the ** compressor and all parts that went with the ** were broken. I tried NUMEROUS times to return the vehicle to the lot within their 7 day policy, I had not had the car in my possession for the 7 days it was in the shop 6 of the 7 days. Everytime I was told I was too broke for any other vehicle on their lot. When I offered a larger down payment to get me into one of their nicer vehicles, they denied me WITHIN the 7 days, it has costed me a little of $2,000 to fix this vehicle to even START to make this road worthy and safe for me and my children. I have filed SEVERAL complaints, left reviews, with their company but no one has reached out to me to help me solve these issues. They offer a warranty but it only covers transmission or engine repair, you pay $250 on that. But everything else is out of pocket, doesnt TRULY get fixed and they sell you a junk car. They forced me to stay in my car because they want me to. They sold me a lemon, Im now $10K in debt for a car that BARELY functions. Do not go here!!!! I hate my car!CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

Hi ********* - Thank you for taking the time to send your feedback. It is unfortunate when unforeseen issues occur with a used vehicle. To ensure we are on the same page, our records show you purchased the vehicle 06/10/24 and CarHop has honored its limited warranty. CarHop has covered the vast majority of repairs cost to date, even those not included in the limited warranty. **** from CarHop spoke with you today (7/12/24)and worked together with you to agree on a solution for the remaining repair items. If you paid $2,000 in repairs on your own, your online post was the first time CarHop learned about it. If you have receipts of those repairs, please provide them to **** or ***** at your local CarHop store for their review. If you have further questions, please also contact **** or ***** directly. Thanks, CarHop.Review from Yvonne F

I am in the process of purchasing a 2007 ****** Murano from Carhop, a vehicle that is still under warranty. Despite this, it has been experiencing an engine rattle issue, requiring two visits to the repair shop. Furthermore, in December of last year, I had to personally finance the replacement of the starter, as it was deemed outside the scope of the warranty coverage. After transitioning to a new role several months ago, I have discerned a notable increase in my financial commitments. Failure to address this matter promptly may compel me to suspend future payments until a resolution is reached or contemplate the potential of returning the vehicle. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in navigating this challenging circumstance. Please help me with this issue. I genuinely like my vehicle and have no problem continuing to pay for it, provided that they agree to fix it promptly.CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response

I purchased a car from Carhop. It was filthy inside. They way overcharged me, never told me it was a salvaged title. I looked that one up on my own. They did place it in the shot to replace a blinker in the front and get the bent tie rods and ball joints replaced, but this left me without a car for.a.week. the next week my transmission nearly blew out. The cost of the vehicle is low. Especially when salvaged or "rebuilt" as they claim. They never disclosed any of this to me. They were supposed to set up automatic withdrawals for payments through my bank which I drove in a voided check specifically for that reason. She never got the.message. they never set it up so when I originally left they said it would be done, don't worry about payments they wouldnt know when they would start but would reach out and let me.know. during the time it was in the shop, no loaner, in on the bus....I get email messages.....no call....in my spam folder no less stating I'm now two payments behind. I quickly paid them but am upset they didn't get it together. I still have a balance owing of over ****** and the vehicle.is only worth *****. The report I pulled clearly states that on 12/29/2022 it was last seen at a recycling facility.CarHop Auto Sales & Finance Response
