I received a $200 parking ticket on 8/8/24 in this garage for "double parking" over the line between spaces. I've been parking here off and on for 3+ years. This is a common practice in this garage, because the spaces are extremely tight. Nearly every other car is over the line because the spaces are so small. They have never enforced this, nor have I heard of this in the 3+ years I've parked there, as there is no signage anywhere about this "violation." It seems they are now trying to capitalize on this design flaw since they recently started issuing tickets for this. Several people in my office received the same ticket. Some appealed and had the fine reduced from $200 to $50, others got a warning/$0 fine. I appealed, but they would only reduce it to $50 (but my coworker got hers reduced to a warning/$0 the same day- notably, she said she was pregnant in her appeal, and her ticket was waived). In their response, they said I agreed to the terms of the garage by parking there, and they said, "These fees are $200 as these spaces can turn upwards of 3 times a day at $40/piece." That alone shows they just want to make money (also, I was barely over the line, and the car to my right received the same ticket for being over her line, so there wasn't room for another car between us anyway, so I should have gotten a warning). I wanted to respond to them, but I can't. There is no active email address, no phone number, and when you enter your violation number on the website, the only option is to pay the fine since I already filed an appeal. I refuse to pay anything, as it is completely predatory to begin enforcing a "rule" that is so commonly violated out of nowhere with such a high penalty with no signage, no communication to the office buildings tied to the garage, and nothing on the website. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in getting this dismissed altogether. I am an attorney and find this type of predatory conduct deplorable, and more people need to fight it.

I parked at my yoga studio, ****************** in *********, **** for a sunrise yoga class. I was issued a parking ticket for $250 for parking in the business lot before 6am. I think this is a scam run by Interstate Parking Company of MN, LLC. Date issued: 7/22/24 Time issued: 5:29am Monday

I paid for parking online and followed the *** directions to the ramp I paid for parking in. The next morning I had a parking ticket for $85. I filed the appeal, they lowered it to $15.50. There were no clear signs, also the arms were up so anyone could park. I had a QR code to scan for parking and nowhere to scan it. They said I parked in the wrong ramp. If true they know there are two ramps on the same block and let people in just to ***** them for the fine money. They're nothing more than a money grab/scam.

      Good morning,
This claim isn't valid for Interstate Parking as ***** paid for Parking at another facility and parked at our Interstate Parking Ramp. We issued a citation for Non-Payment as ***** never paid to park at our facility. Our facility is clearly labeled with the address, Interstate signs, and instructions on how to pay. This complaint should be forwarded onto SP+ where ***** was supposed to Park and he paid SP+ for Parking. Our team offered a courtesy to ***** by lowering our Citation to $15.50 which was the cost to park from the Citation amount of $80.

Once again, this isn't a valid complaint against Interstate Parking and should be taken up with SP+ as we did nothing wrong and ***************** without payment on our property. We are a gateless facility and we don't use scanners for any sort of QR Codes purchased. The instructions on his receipt would've laid out where he needed to park and instructions.

      Thanks,

This is a parking garage which is labeled as parking starting at 3 dollars. No signs display the parking is 3 dollars for the first 15 minutes and 4 dollars for every 15 minute increment onwards. It is inappropriate to not display pricing to folks so they are aware of what they are committing to. It is a busy ****** downtown street and I feel the signage is intentionally misleading. We did not find out the about the pricing until we called the help line at the exit of the garage. Furthermore, there is valet parking on the street for much less, about 30 dollars for 0 to 6 hours.

I am rejecting this response because: there is a large sign on the street which states parking from 3 dollars. The business is stating there is a rate break down as you enter, but I did not see it. My group was in two cars with a total of 6 people - none of which who saw the rate break down until we were exiting the garage (and paying). There are signs at a pedestrian exit/entrance and as you drive out to pay for the garage. I believe rates should be clearly posted -potentially on the street sign. I feel the current signage is intentionally unclear and difficult to locate. Especially since there are many other cheaper parking/valet options in the immediate area.

I was awaken at 4 am 5-21-2023 by my dispatcher who said my truck had been booted at ******* ******* *********. I was in the truck as I had shopped there. They did not knock or try to warn me or I would have immediately left. I have a dog who would have barked if they had tried. They very quietly booted my truck and called my company and waited to be paid $1000.00. This is distortion and theft. No hard working person could afford this.

Wrong company - we don't operate in ********* and do not work with ******* anywhere in the country.
