      Terrible customer service, I called in to rollover a 401k and was treated terribly, the person I spoke with was openly hostile, rude and dismissive.

      I requested my 401 k destruction to be sent by mail next day delivery, and paid a $35 dollar fee to do so. 4 days later I still have not received anything. This is the third day in a row I've called them and I'm just now being told that it's being sent regularly though the mail and they still withdrew $35 from my total. Absolutely unacceptable

      This company is absolutely a bunch of clowns. Lied to me multiple times about sending out my money by check. None of these employees should even be in fast food let alone handling other people's money. Complete incompetence at the worst level. Not professional at all. Do better.

      complete lack of knowledge when it comes to security. I will personally never use this company again and would opt out or even quit a job that uses Alerus customer service is horrible as well.

      Awful and Dishonest!!! I am fightingwith them over release of my HSA funds after I retired in July. Lied to me about the funds being sent, refuse to send MY MONEY to ME electronically. Told me a check was mailed. That is just simply false. My former employer picked these goofballs to handle employee funds, which is/was their mistake. Now I'm the one who has to fight for my own hard-earned cash. At 70 years of age, I'm tired of having to deal with D-bags. Alerus is a bad company!They should be investigated for fraud and dishonest business practices. Do not give Alerus any of your money-unless you need a tax write-off. You probably won't see your money again.

      Any request for distributions of HSA funds are completed as they are received, provided the request includes proper documentation for the distribution. We are aware there may be delays in receiving checks due to postal mail delays. Distributions can be processed via check, or electronically to avoid mail delays. Once a check is requested, it can only be changed to an electronic payment if the participant contacts us to place a stop payment on the check and provides us with electronic payment information.

      Should be negative stars! This company fights you all they can to not give you your FSA money that YOU put in yourself. Argued about medically necessary pharmacy copays, once approved still wouldn't send the money. Now trying to fight paying a medical bill needing in depth itemized bills. I would never start an FSA with this company ever again!

      If I could give 0 srars I would. Alerus manages my FSA and they lock the card for almost any transaction. I've submitted multiple receipts for legitimate health services. They struggle when the provider estimates the insurance coverage and charges an estimated fee and then if there are additional charges beyond the estimate. They seem unable to do simple math. When it finally is rectified after 3 to 5 resubmitted billing summaries from the provider the card is locked thru the billing cycle at the end of month even it was resoved at the beginning of the month. In the meantime alerus denies transactions like autoship perscription meds. This company is a nightmare. It is mind blowing any legit employer would use them as a servicer for any hsa or fsa funds.

      Signed up for a FSA, through husbands insurance plan. Charge was denied for a legitimate medical expense. Website isnt set up to submit receipts, faxes never go through, company wont take receipts emailed. Contacting customer service always results with directions to submit through website which arent correct. Paying monthly for a FSA that we cant use because card is on hold because we need to submit receipts. This company is a scam. Beware.
