We have an 8 week old baby, 3 year old toddler and a dog- and we have been without heat for 11 days and counting. This began during the coldest week of the year so far. There have been 5 different professionals in and out of our apartment guessing what the problem is and making unnecessary fixes- one of the professionals even cut large holes in our walls which ended up being for nothing. Theyve provided us two space heaters which will cost us money on our electric bill, and we are expected to pay nearly $1700 for rent on top of it. They at one point said they would dock our rent but we have yet to see that on our payment portal. Not once have they offered to put us up in a hotel or somewhere comfortable with heat. My three year old sons bedroom drops down below 60 degrees every night.Business response

Hello,
I'm very sorry for the delay in this repair. We had a garage heater failure that caused a pipe to freeze. We approved replacement on January 10th and the work was completed 2 days ago. A copy of that bid is attached. We've had a company called ********* out several times and they are there again as I type this to finish thawing the pipe that froze as a result of the garage heater failure. We've primarily been in contact with the other tenant there, ************************* and had no indication that anyone was to the level of frustrated to file a complaint with the BBB. We did agree to give a rent credit for the days they were without heat and plan to add that to their ledger for February, since January rent has already been paid, but it won't reflect on their ledger until February rent is posted because there is no balance currently to apply the credit to, this is just a simple accounting process. I can provide proof that we've responded to their emergency requests within 60 minutes of receiving them and have provided ***************** sources for them. The issue should be resolved today.
