I couldnt fit the whole email I sent to the company. I included as much as possible: The next issue was communicated with *****. I went through a divorce and name change during October. I kept all parties informed about this and told ***** that I would bring my certified copy of the decree for him and my name change. When I arrived at closing there was a charge of $89 for the decree. My copy cost $14 from the courts. I would like the $89 returned to me as this was an unnecessary charge. This was never explained to me that this would be added to the closing costs. Not only that, I had to explain to ***** that the attorney fees were to be split by my ex husband and myself and subtracted from his share of the proceeds. ***** asked to read this from MY copy of the divorce decree. Where was his copy that cost me $89?!! I suspect again that there was not a copy of the decree there. There were other costs at closing that were not in our original contract. This is the contract that was signed by the buyer and us that should have been honored at closing. This contract is a binding contract between Riverstone and ************************* and ********************* (Beach) as you can see, the closing costs were to not exceed $1,225. We were charged $1540.20. That is a difference of $315.20 over our contract. From the contract: I am also attaching the contract to this email. CLOSING COSTS: Buyer and Seller are responsible last sentence of this paragraph shall not exceed $1225 for the seller.***** is not responsible for liens, fees, and costs not directly incurred by the sale of the property. These include but are not limited to, Unpaid Taxes, HOA Fees, Liens, and Judgements. Buyer and seller will both agree to use the same closing company to their respective customary closing costs including; Recording Fees, Title Insurance, Inspections, notary, and wire/mail costs incurred as part of the sale of the property, these cost together with the cost set forth in the l
