I paid them by check for the purchase of a truck. The amount was $11,500. I had moved some money around from one bank to another and I told him that the check did not clear the first time. I called him and told him it was not going to go through. He said he talked to the bank and told them not run it again. I told him I will bring a cashiers check for the $11,500 plus the fee the bank charged the dealership for the check not clearing the first time. This was $200 that was told to me from the owner. I dropped off to him a cashiers check for $11,700 and gave it to him. Well the check went through a second time and now the owner of the dealership has been paid twice for the truck. I asked that he refund me at least the $11,500 and that has yet to happen. Now he seems to not want to deal with me in good faith to return the money. The truck was purchased the end of August.Business response

I apologize for this bizarre series of events that led to this. I did in fact send ******* ****** a check back and have been in contact with him, he says he did not receive the check. I am not in the business to be intentionally misleading anyone. I sent the check out right after *** ****** claimed that my bank did in fact run his check through again.
After receiving the complaint, I called *** ****** to let him know I could send a check again if he would call and verify that it wasn't at his local post office for some reason as I never got it returned in the mail. I have never avoided *** ****** and I would like to resolve this as quickly as possible.
I contacted *** ****** again today (11/07/2022). He said he would check and see if he could locate the check and get back with me. I haven't heard from him thus far.
