I received a check from ash street place on the 26th of April 2024 and once deposited the check later bounced. I called to resolve the issue however they keep giving me the run around. Told me it would be mailed Wednesday May 1st however after not receiving it still today May 6th I called and I check on the status and still hadnt been mailed. I asked to go get the check in person and told me that wasnt possible because it was in the outbox for mail. Yet the mail, they claim, hasnt been picked up since May 1st.

When ***** moved out we were under **************** Group.  Orion terminated the contract on March 26, 2024.  ***** had mailed several deposit checks out prior to termination.  In late April, I was notified by another previous resident that their deposit check had not cleared.  I contacted ***** who told me that they had canceled the checks and that the refunds would need to be issued by the current owner.  I had no way of knowing who they had sent checks to so as people would contact me, I would issue a check.  ***** notified me that his check was returned so I agreed to send a check and included the additional $50 that he said his bank charged him.  I wrote the check on 5/2/24 and placed in the outgoing mail in the mailbox for our community which is locked and I do not have access to.  ***** called on 5/6/24, I believe and said that he would come pick it up.  He was told that it was in the mailbox and that we did not have access to and I would have to ask the mail carrier if I could get it back.  He told my assistant that he would be here the following day.  I contacted the mail carrier on the following morning and was able to retrieve the check from the outgoing box.  Later that day, ***** called and I told him that I had the check and was waiting on him to pick it up.  He got very upset and said that he could not pick it up and asked me to mail it.  I returned it to outgoing mail that afternoon.  I was notified by our bank that the check was cashed on 5/13/24.
