I was trying to shop at the save a lot on ************ I grabbed a cart and started walking into the store ENTRANCE AND WHILE walking into the store the security gaurd started swearing me calling me mother f***** and telling me I better show her what's in my pockets and then I asked her what's wrong and started recording and she said I'm stealing and gotta leave I told her I never did such a thing and she came real close to me acting like she had a gun I don't know if she did.but she suggest she did and I left and was afraid so I called the police.during and while I was waiting for the police the female security gaurd continued to verbally assault and falsely accuse me of stealing and then one of the employees came outside and told her I never stolen I had only shopped at the store she apologized and then lowered her voice saying mother f her you stole and would not stop she then was going to hit me so I left she wad mad when she found out I recorded the entire thing. I am waiting to see if you respond ***** I am ashamed and want answers I want so.ething done she is to be disciplined she has no business being a security gaurd she is a huge liability to your business and the public my neighbors and friends go shop here and I need them to be safe also. If she will not and shown.she cannot do her job someone else will. I grocery shop at the Sav a lot in ************ and every time I purchase meat at this store its either spoiled or about to spoil I am on a fixed income and I cant afford to purchase meat and when I get home its no good even if you put it in the freezer when you thaw it its spoiled and I dont have a way to replace my food so I have to go without eating and then sav a lot meat cost just as much as ****** or ******* I have purchased a lot of meat from this store due to not being able to get to any other store or thats all I can afford that dayBusiness response

I did go to the store and speak with the manager and he did give me meat to replace the bad meat I purchased but not without accusing me of lying about the spoiled meat to begin with this was once I got to the store and he seen that I was black he didn't know I was black over the phone and he said he never had any complaints about bad meat before me after he told me different when I initially spoke with him on the phone before meeting him. A couple of days later I went into the store and everything in the meat case was spoiled the roast were brown along with the ground beef I took pictures of the meat as proof that this has happened on more than one occasion most stores offer it at a discounted price if it's about to expire but they are not marking anything down to a discounted price that brown ground beef is brown and it's not supposed to be and one of the packages is almost $30 and when you get home and open it you can't feed this to your family and I know it's because sav a lot is in a area where poor people live so mostly poor people shop there I'm poor but that doesn't mean we deserve to be sold bad meat to feed our families its not right and sav a lot is no more affordable than ****** or ******* at least the meat is fresh crazy part i left there and went to ****** instead they had ground beef for $10 a pack and it was marked down but it was fresh still sav a lot meat continues to go bad while it is frozen as well when you get ready to cook it it's no good and I can't afford to go buy it all over again and the meat the manager replaced is just a fraction of the bad meat i have bought there he only replaced some of it and he told me on the phone before I went he would give me meat and some cash to cover the bad meat i purchased i only received some meat and thats it and was insulted when I got thereInitial Complaint

I was visiting a store in Statesboro, GA as I was headed back from Savannah, GA to Atlanta. I stopped in the store to buy specific chips that I used to eat as a child. Since I currently live in Seattle, WA I did not want to miss this opportunity of getting these chips. I bought 2 bags of the J.Higgs Cheezies Crunchy Hot and Spicy Chips on 7/12. I flew back home to Seattle before I noticed both bags expired 4/6/2023. The. cost of each bag was about 1.99/ bag. I tried calling the store own er and have not received a response.Business response

Mid June 2023 my wife was shopping at the Save A Lot on Hanley and St. Charles Rock Rd. Upon leaving she hit a big pot hole and completely damaged the front drivers tire. She report the damage to the Supervisor and a report was generated to the cooperate Office. Haven’t received any response back. Went to the store were to follow up with supervisor on duty and was giving to number to the Cooperate Office. I have call everyday just received a recording and no one answered. Have paper work for repairs. Looking for a response to settle damages.Business response

We always want to address any concerns coming from our customers and thus we have turned the claim into our insurance provider. The adjuster handling the claim will contact the customer. In addition we will follow up with the insurance carrier. Lastly, we have a work order in place to fix the asphalt indention located in the parking lot.

Pathetic store pathetic uneducated employees. Low Balltown. I'm a senior just took a nursing job in town will never shop in Save-A-Lot again. Told to hurry up hurry up I better hurry up in line by cashier. Had groceries separated cashier tossed everything in basket messing everything up where I had to stand at counter separating and packing I don't understand why in the world they can't place the items in the bag or send it down the line for me to pack right there. This particular store is a mess the assistant manager and manager are unacceptable and shameful. I've shopped at save-a-lots in other states but this Save-A-Lot is the armpit. I lost my prescription glasses in the drama. I called the store and they started screaming at me that they were about to close they refused to tell me if they had my glasses. It's going to cost me $25 for a new pair store insist they don't have glasses even though cashier said she did and to call back in the morning. This store and it's employees are shameful they look like recovered drug addicts and they have the attitude like they're working in some kind of Beverly Hills department store. Cashier was rude arberated and screaming at me most of the time that I wasn't moving fast enough. The manager backed her up saying they need to keep the Lines Moving although there was absolutely very few people in the store. They acted like they were all on some kind of speed which they probably were. They were definitely uneducated and condescending. Being a very educated and well-traveled person I felt like perhaps I did not blend in and was targeted.Business response
