Moving company moved my furniture out of my house and caused damages to my personal belongings and my structural items. I instantly complained to the company and the owner stated she would get back with me after investigation. Never has gotten back with me and won’t return my calls. The company is insured and I have several hundreds of dollars worth of damage done to my items. This is uncalled for. This company shouldn’t be allowed. I hope to stop this from happening to others. This is devastating. The company also stated in the quote everything would be wrapped and protected.

Please find attached the signed Terms and Conditions and Invoice from ** ******* move.

The Terms and Conditions document provides our policies and coverage. Coverage is based solely on the weight of an item, as stated in several places.

** ***** initialed two optional sections of the Terms and Conditions document as well as signing it. One of the initialed sections waives inspection of items, and thus absolves us of any and all liability. Additionally, ** ***** initialed the section acknowledging the deductible of $1000.

It should be noted that ** ***** also had a U-Haul truck, which transported her other items as well. While unloading her items at her storage unit, ** ***** left for a short time. In the Terms and Conditions document, the last bulleted sentence on page one, states that liability is waived if the customer or their representative is not on site with their move.

At the conclusion of the move, ** ***** signed the invoice and paid for the move,

At this time, I will be strictly adhering to the signed Terms and Conditions. It is always important to read and understand signed documents.

Please let me know if any additional information or consideration is needed.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:This is incorrect information, I never left the site while the company was unloading my stuff into the storage unit. I do have a witness, it’s the manager of the storage units, as she will provide a witness statement stating I was the the entire time, as well as she’s attempting to see if there is camera footage. I have no idea about anything I initial and what that might have meant. Yes I did have a u- haul that had boxes only that went to a storage unit in Oregon, mo. Does this still excuse the company the right to damage my belongings and excuse them the right to not care for my belongs as they promised they would when they have me the quote? Why would the owner after moving me, say she was going to take care of this issue snd give me a refund and help with the damage if it wasn’t a problem. She knew it was a problem. They need to be responsible, take care of what their employees damaged, so they don’t make a bad name for themselves.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****
