I paid Levi Bonnevier over $21,000 to look over the electrical in my home and he came up with a list of things that needed to be fixed. He was unable to install a Ring Doorbell transformer correctly. The transformer he installed almost caught on fire. I asked him to come by and remove it and when he did, he removed a junction box and the two switched in the laundry room stopped working. I explained to him that the switches were working the day before because I used it to vacuum drywall dust and he said it wasn't his fault and that I had to pay him more money to fix it. I was very upset because I had spent so much money and was still having issues like the smoke detector going off. I didn't trust his work, so I hired ***** ***** to stop by and fix the issue. On Thanksgiving Day, one of the smoke detectors he installed kept going off and I once again had to hire ***** ***** to stop by and install another smoke detector. I am seeking money for the items that I had to pay for and I will be going to small claims court if he does not pay the amount. I have also filed a complaint with Electrician Licensing because I hired him and explained that I wanted to avoid having an electrical fire in my house and now I still don't believe his work was good enough for me to sleep well at night. I also had to re-do the wires for the kitchen light because that was catching on fire as well. $475.00 checks payable to ***** ***** Electric, $50 for smoke detector, $200 refund for transformer since he charged $306 and wasn't successful in the install and this doesn't include the two extra holes he made for no reason at all that I had to pay to get fixed by my drywall guy.Business response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:Mr. *********** attorney, ***** ***** called me from ****** ******* & ***** today. He stated that they would pay the $725 if I signed a paper stating that this would be the end of it. Unfortunately, I can't be bullied into signing a paper because Mr. ********* did a shotty job with the electrical at my house and since he refused to fix the things that were on the scope of things I paid for, I need to be able to request refunds when necessary.
Sincerely,

I represent ******** Enterprises, LLC d/b/a ******** Electric in connection with the complaint filed by **** ***********, Reference No. ********. As such, please direct any further communication regarding this matter to my attention. Please allow this correspondence to serve as Mr. ********'s response to Ms. ***********'s complaint.
In or about April 2023, Ms. *********** contacted Mr. ******** to obtain an estimate for the completion of certain electrical work on and for the real property located at **** ** ******* Street in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri (herein the "Subject Property"). At that time, Ms. *********** was residing in the State of California and had purchased the home "sight" unseen.
On or about April 4, 2023, at Ms. ***********'s request and direction, Mr. ******** met Ms. **********'s request and direction, Mr. ********* met Ms. ***********'s acquaintance, *****, at the subject property due to Ms. ********** living in California at that time. ***** outlined the work Ms. *********** was interested in having completed. After discussing numerous options with *****, ***** selected certain options on Ms. ***********'s behalf and with Ms. ***********'s approval of the same.
On or about April 5, 2023, Mr. ******** emailed Ms. *********** an estimate for the completion of said work (herein "Scope of Work"). A true and correct copy the Scope of Work is attached hereto as Exhibit "1."
On or about April 5, 2023, Ms. ********** accepted the scope of work and mailed the deposit for the completion of said work. A true and correct copy of the email and text message correspondence regarding the same is attached hereto as Exhibit "2."
On or about April 6, 2023, Mr. ******** obtained a permit, electrical permit number ************* from the City of Springfield. A true and correct copy of said permits is attached hereto as Exhibit "3".
On or about April 14, 2023, Mr. ******** completed the work reflected on the scope of work. On that same date, April 14, 2023, the City of Springfield inspected the subject property and approved the work. A true and correct copy of said approval is attached hereto as Exhibit "4".
Several months later, beginning on or about July 5, 2023, Ms. *********** began contacting Mr. ******** about various electrical issues at the subject property. A true and correct copy of the email and text message correspondence regarding the same is attached hereto as Exhibit "5".
The only issue related to the work performed pursuant to the Scope of Work, the Ring doorbell was addressed timely. More specifically, on or about August 24, 2023, Ms. *********** contacted Mr. ******** regarding the Ring doorbell. Ms. *********** stated that the new chime was humming. That same week, Mr. ******** returned to the subject property to inspect the Ring doorbell, contacted Ring, and replaced the standard chine with a pro power pack.
The Subject Property, which was built in approximately 1960, has original wiring in the branch circuits. Since Ms. *********** was not taking the home down to the studs for a remodel, Mr. ******** recommended arc fault and GCFI breakers at the panel rather than installing new branch wiring. Mr. ******** completed said work as outlined in the Scope of Work. See Exhibit 1.
Respectfully, the remaining electrical concerns noted by Ms. *********** were not included in the Scope of Work.
With respect to the kitchen light, this light was not included in the Scope of Work. In or about August 2023, Mr. ******** discovered that Ms. *********** had later had a different individual put heat shrink on the wire.
With respect to the washer circuit, the same was working properly when Mr. ******** first visited the Subject Property on April 4, 2023. As such, work related to the washer circuit was not included in the Scope of Work.
Significantly, between April 14, 2023, and July 5, 2023, Ms. *********** had contractors, handymen, and other electricians perform work, including electrical work, on and for the Subject Property. It is, therefore, entirely possible that any concerns Ms. *********** has are related to the work performed by these individuals. In this regard, please see the photographs reflecting some of said work attached hereto as Exhibit "6".
Please let me know if you need any additional information. Mr. ******** is hopeful that it's response will allow you to close this file concerning the unsubstantiated complaint made by Ms. ***********.
Thank you for your immediate time and attention to this matter. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:
Paragraph 3 is incorrect. I had MANY phone conversations with Levi before the quote came about. ***** did make some suggestions but I was the one that made decisions on the electrical in my house.I currently have a painter painting the house and yet again I find out the shotty job that Levi did. He cut the lights at the rafters in the living room which is why the lights are not sitting flush in the ceiling. Every time I find out something new about Levi's shotty work in my house. The following are a list of things that he didn't do correctly.
1. Install on the Ring Camera/Transformer. He had to come three times to try to fix it and was not successful in fixing it. I will once again email information to licensing regarding the fact that he cut my rafters in order to install the light in the living room.
2. He charged me for electrical for the water heater and he had not installed it and didn't even tell me that he had to come back to install it.
3. The fan light he installed wasn't working and he had to come back to swap it out. It was constantly turning on in the middle of the night as I tried to sleep.
4. I told him in July that one of the smoke detectors was going off and he just laughed about it and didn't address it. On Thanksgiving Day the smoke detector finally stopped working and was beeping until I had to remove it to make it stop.
5. The plugs in the shed were not working and not installed correctly.
I have attached some of my emails emails regarding my correspondence with Levi. I also have plenty of pictures to prove that he did shotty work. I should not have to deal with his attorney because he wants me to sign a paper that I am not willing to sign because as of today, Aaron from Lovins Painting is the one telling me that Levi should not have cut my rafters to install the lights in the living room. He must have marked them from the bottom instead of going to the attic to mark them before he cut to install the lights.
Sincerely,
**** ***********
