On September 7, 2022 I paid 3500.00 as a down payment on new kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets. I paid the final payment on October 15,2022. Big mistake! The owner was suppose to come back the next day to finish the trim, adjust the doors, put up shelves and install trim to hide drawers. It is now February 7, 2023 and the cabinets are still not finished! The owner Mr ****** has not called me once’s since he received the final payment! October 29 I sent him a text message asking him to come and finish my cabinets. Said he would come out the following Tuesday, did not show up! Again on November 5 sent a text message, following Tuesday, no show again! Finally on Nov. 21, he sent out one of workers to do the trim. He cut himself unloading the saw! After giving him a paper towel to wipe it off, I offered him a bandage, he refused! Mistake, he left blood smeared on my cabinets! He did manage to put up crown molding on five cabinets. Only after asking me for a hammer and a ladder! He couldn’t finish one cabinet because he said my wall was off and he didn’t have the right saw to cut the spacer. He took measurements and said he would be back the following week. Never heard from him. Texted the owner on Dec. 19th. He was on vacation till after the new year and couldn’t be bothered! Jan. 7, 2023 sent out a different guy to re-measure the the spacer and trim! He came back the following Thur. To in stall the spacer, trim, adjust doors and to fix the microwave cabinet, that had been cut wrong by the owner. It took him over two hours, just to do the spacer and trim for one cabinet! He tried to adjust the doors! There is not one set of doors that is set properly! He said that was the best he could !!! Then he tried to fix the microwave cabinet! He kept putting metal tools on my new glass stove top, which he scratched. So I cleaned it off and placed a towel over it for protection. While trying to fix the cabinet, he turned the cooktop on (it chimes when it is turned on) and almost caught the towel on fire. This scored the glass top and the towel has a nice black ring on it! He didn’t think to check out the chimes! It turns out my wall wasn’t off, the cabinet is hung crooked. Which will interfere with my backsplash. I paid for new cabinets, not miss cut, splintered veneer (do to the owner have the plumbers install the vanity, at my expense) , cabinets not hung level and doors not aligned correctly. I have had to do all the caulking myself, which was also supposed to be part of the installation. In my frustration, I was going to pay someone else to adjust the cabinet door’s and fix the other problems. Since Mr ****** doesn’t seem to care about finishing the job correctly! But why should I have to pay someone else to do a job that I paid him for? Any job worth doing, is worth doing right ! When running a business the finish product speaks volumes!
