April 19th 2022, B&B Landscaping in ******** ** started a $23k job cutting a driveway and home pad site on my property 21 days later and less than 1/2 way through with the job we contracted for, and after stopping and starting several times, I received threatening emails and texts, threatening to dig a hole right in the middle of your road, and several other if I didnt pay the job in full. After talking to the owner ***********************, we agreed that it was clearly discussed with his company the process of requesting a draw for 50% of the bid, that he had not done that, and that I would gladly do so if requested. I met him and paid him that day a check for $10k.He then refused to complete the work for over a month, the when he finally came back out, and finished on June 8th guaranteeing me the pad site was level and ready to build on.When the foundation people came out the next week they shot the pad site and I found out our pad site is over 4 off level. I then reached out to him via phone and he agreed to come out the weekend of June 18th and make it right. Over the weekend he texted and said it would be Monday or Tuesday. Then Tuesday I received an email receipt for $2,100 before he would come fix his own mess. I texted him and said no way Im paying for you to fix your mistake, and I need it done by the end of this week so I can move on with my house construction. The conversation then devolved in a cursing and threatening string f emails and texts, of which I have copied.Friday has now passed (today) and we are 10 weeks into what he said would be a 4 to 5 day job. He is refusing to fix it. I had another contractor come out and confirm via laser level that it is 4 3 off level, and I have 2 quotes both around $5k to fix his mistakes and now pushed my home construction back by at least 3 months from what he originally committed.Based on the issues and the threats, I do NOT want him to do this work. I want a $5k refund to pay to fix my padsite

The person with this complaint has failed to explain many issues.
first lets start off with the fact we started this project within 2 days of being called to come look at it.
The length of time that it took this project was due to rain! It literally rained every week.
He also failed to mention that the area we were working in was a creek, which made it worse.
He also failed to explain that 10 of those days we literally had to pull off the job completely just to let the areas dry out.
He also failed to explain that he also added more work to this project every time he came out with changes, more work, more trees taken down, direction of driveway and so on.
He also failed to mention that I turned in a draw to get partial payment and was ignored and lied to by his builder.
He also failed to explain that we asked for a set of house plans 3 times. (By text & email) and never received them. Only to have the builder come out and point his finger and say the house is going there Then after we did the dirt work for the house to be there Then the homeowner finally put out flags to where the house was going to go. Well at this point, the dirt work was 90% complete so we did change up some things and did a entire days worth of extra work to accommodate the different area the house was going. We have the entire area slopes so that it drains in 2 different areas.
He is only angry because we will not come back for a 3rd time and change somethings or fix somethings.
The house pad DOES need to be tended to and some work done on it, but he was very rude, demanding and disrespectful.
He tried threatening me with a deadline of Friday or he was going to Ruin my business on social media. I told him that I would try and get to him as soon as possible if I could. But after his attitude and threats, I put him on our schedule (which is about **** days out) His claims of what needs to be done is going to cost $5K is a complete lie. He is trying to get paid for something and trying to get over on someone. What needs to be done is 6-8 hours of work, no materials are needed and it has already been looked at by us and shot with a laser. It is $1,500 to $2,300 worth of work. This is just a prime example of someone that holds a job title as a career where he tells his employees what to do and they do! And he did not get that with me and my company even with his threats. And the whole story of him meeting me at the bank to pay me was twisted. What he didnt tell everyone was that I literally pulled off his job and gave him a deadline of 4:00pm or I was going to file a construction lien on his property and his a** came flying to pay me. So there are lots of things that he has failed to explain correctly. And lots of things he has failed to say about what we did do and the extra work we did do.
but I will end this with this, everything we did on this property was done correctly and exactly how we quoted it. In the end, the house pad needs to be raised 2 foot on one side. This is not just a 100% mistake, this is due to the fact that his builder failed to come out and **** the area and also that the house pad area was changed 3 times (and the driveway was changed twice) In the end, if he would have just called and said hey, the house pad needs to be raised, could you do that for me? I would have been a complete different person. It would not have been fixed any faster but I would have been nicer and easier to deal with. We are busy and regardless of anything, we are **** days out. Im not going to put off my other customers just because he threatened me and demanded it done by Friday. This is not how it works. We have been in business for 18 years and we have a great rating on BBB and we have a great customer base. This one guys opinion and failing to explain the issues we had correctly is not going to effect my business.
