On December 11, 2023, I accepted estimate for $1100 with ******** for Springforward Fencing to build me a wood fence in front right yard of property. Not knowing that he was not license, nor knowledgeable of Memphis codes for building a fence on the property. ******** with Springforward Fencing drove a labeled truck as if he had credentials. I had no problems with his work, but his professionalism is wack!In July of 2024 the code enforcement came to my front door at 8am, stating that the neighbor complained about the fence not being in compliance with Memphis Codes of rules and regulations. I immediately called ******** the owner of Springforward Fencing to inform him of the complaint. He told me that it would be a additional fee of $300. I didn't like it but I agreed to pay the additional fee. I felt that the measurements not matching Memphis codes was his error. He had his crew to come out the next day to cut the wood fence down from 6ft, to 4ft. On July 29,2024, the code inspector came back and stated the neighbor filed another complaint stating the fence wasn't back from street far enough per the Memphis Code. Complaint stated that neighbor can't see into the street backing up.I once again called ******** to inform him of the code enforcement visit again. He was screaming and not being professional at all. I am the one that is stressed dealing with this error that he caused, because of him not knowing the codes for *******, He lives in *********** that's where he needs to do his business where he's familiar with building codes.******** stated that I want him to do free work, but this error is caused mainly by him. I just want him to bring this fence that he built up to Memphis Code without charging me excess fees for his error. I do not want Code Enforcement to fine me, or take me to court for his wrongdoing.

We completed this project on December 21, 2023. This customer was very happy with the price and outcome. I consider this customer as a friend and didnt charge him what it actually cost. Fast forward to eight month later, his neighbor call in a complaint to the city of ******* about the fence. I told him, we can come cut it down to the height they mention in the report. I charge ****** to pay the guys that work for me. He was ok with that. He call me again saying they wanted it 5 feet from the street. I said ok that will be ****** to come move it. We place the fence exactly where the customer wanted it. We dont have a problem coming back out to keep client from being fine. We dont understand disputing ******* when the service you receive cost twice as much. We will come move the fence for free for client can be in compliance with the city of *******.

On Sunday morning August 11, 2024, I had to hire and pay $150 for another person to come out to move fence. I stressed that the code inspector have been out 3 time already. I had to move the fence before Monday morning before the inspector made that 4th inspection. I take care of my 87-year-old mother that have a serious illness. I cannot afford to go to court for this for unforeseen matter on my behalf. I express what was needed from the handy man at Spring Fencing at the beginning. This man knows my situation with my mother and dragged his feet in correcting this problem. I reported him to the code inspector and stated that the City of Memphis needs to address issues like this immediately. We are tax paying citizens, and we deserve better.

Hired Springforward Fencing on Oct. 17, 2022 aft. reading BBB Guidlines. Felt safe to move forward.Disclosure/None Transparancy: Owner stated possession of Insurance, would bring, started work, didn't bring, said he emailed, no insurance provied as requested to date. Brounght small child on worksite, insurance still not disclosed as promised. Endangerment to child and my property liability.Bottom line, appears owner, never intended to comply with request to disclose his Insurance with deceptive statements *************** Tactics: Owner stated two men on site(written agreement). That was not honored on 10/17. He left for hours, returned at 5PM after I called about his where abouts. ***** stated agreed arrival time 8:30-9AM, but showed up 10AM on Mon. 10/17 and at 12 Noon on 10/18. He left again at 2PM. Worksite unattended, not work for hours daily creating "rush-job" to complete by 10/18.Property and Child Endangerment: Owner continued to leave property with electrical equipment on/running, left property for hours unattented, electrical cords/equipment left stretch across yard over nigh preventing lawn cut by GrazzMaster I had to pay any way. Also, hose use, not cut off correctly, dripping all over night. Generator/motor left plugged in running when left the property. No permission asked to use any utilities. No communication for security of safety of my property or the child owner broung onto the worksite without my knowledge, liability for me, not insurance provided by him after many request. Owner created a hazardous work environment that was unprofessional, unsafe and unnecessary. Owner refused to call when late daily, when leaving the property with equipment running, not requesting permission and using a loud, intimidating voice tone if asked a question. I could not ask anything of none the English speaking worker. I tried to ask questions, but the worker could not or would not answer! Need to fix the **** gaps!

I am rejecting this response because:  Company website states we are licensed bonded and insured.  Many request to provide any documentation license or insurance was never received to date . The BBB and the Olive ****** licensing office both state nothing on file for spring forward ******* and security. No contract or warranty presented.

Negligence, hazardous conditions, electrical motor left on while gone from property for hours.

lawn cutting company could not cut the lawn due to equipment left over night on lawn plugged in. I still had to pay $135 lawn cutting fee. I will also have to pay  for another company to cut due to last cut of the season.
That was money out of pocket for me

excessive utility usage with equipment running while not at the work site. Faucet dripping over night. No one mentioned any utilities would be used so i could have prevented all of that from happening .
      Sincerely,

Agreement verbal and written not honored,m Transparency, disclosures were not honored . Agreement to arrive at 8:30 until 9:00 am was not met. They arrived at 10:00 am the first day and 12 noon the second day. They left the work site daily for hours. All of this led to a rush job being done. In addition he had a small child on the work site. Liability issues for my property and for me. Had one man working alone while he was gone for hours. The man could not speak english when i asked questions
Damaged poor quality boards used and gaps in the gate boards. Bottom line all the above led to reduction in original estimate by contract of 325 dollars

I do not wish to have this company on my property ever again.

I hired Spring Forward Fencing to install my 6ft cedar wood fence. Work started on 2/14 and was not completed until 2/21. I paid ******** for the fence and labor. On 4/26 I contacted the owner ******** in regard to my gate door on the right side not opening and appeared to be sagging down. ******** informed me he would come out on that Saturday or Sunday to look at the gate. I texted ******** on Friday 4/29 to see what day and time he was coming out on that Sat or Sun. He told me he was going to come on Saturday. On Saturday morning I texted ******** again asking for a time he was going to arrive and he never replied. I texted ******** again on Sunday 5/1 asking when he was going to come and fix the gate and he replied he would come that week. I informed ******** that I would be leaving on vacation starting 5/6 and would not be home until late in the evening on 5/9. I asked him if he could fix the gate before I left for vacation and he never responded. I called ******** and left a voicemail and he never returned my call. I asked my boyfriend to reach out to ******** to see if he could schedule a day and time since ******** was no longer responding to my text messages or voicemails. ******** did contact my boyfriend and ******** agreed to come out when I return from vacation. ******** was suppose to come by the house on 5/10 to fix the gate. I contacted ******** on the morning of 5/10 to see what time he was coming on that day and he informed me he came on Monday 5/9 and saw nothing wrong with the gate. I informed ******** that he wouldn't have been able to see the problem because the gate door was locked and the door had to be unlock for him to see the issue. ******** did come by on 5/10 to fix the gate but less then a week later the door will not open correctly again. I've tried to contact ******** but he is not responding to my text or phone calls. I have a 2 year structural warranty on the fence and gates. I just want the gate fixed correctly.
