I purchased the phantom 85 motor expecting a bigger faster motor then the others they carry and it was for about 2 weeks tell the piston seized in the cylinder. I notified them of the problem we went back and forth with email and evidently I didn't meet there warranty criteria ok fine it might be my fault it seized I can respect that but my problem with this company is they don't sell replacement cylinders for the phantom 85 they sell replacement a for every other motor they sell but not mine so I'm stuck with a $325 paper weight essentially. I believed I was receiving a superior motor then the smaller model and I'll tell you I run these smaller ones way harder then I did that phantom and the run just fine so what I want is the warranty fulfilled or a replacement cylinder and pistonBusiness response

I do apologize for the engine trouble, we actually do sell those phantom cylinder kits however they are just out of stock at the moment, but more should be coming in soon. Our current engine order is in port right now I believe, so hopefully just a few more weeks once all goes through customs. I can put your email down on my list and once those cylinder kits back in stock, I can notify you when they arrive, just confirm your email and I will put you down on my list.

Purchased Merry Christmas LED sign from birddog lighting at the end of May. I kept it in its original packaging unopened until November 17 2023. It lit up beautifully. On the evening of November 23 2023 only the A and the * of Christmas light up. I emailed the support and they said they couldnt do anything as it is outside the 90 day warranty window. I want to report the very poor quality of their product and poor customer service.Business response

I do apologize for the unhappiness of this motif issue. We do have our company policy that we customer service representatives are trained to follow. For these motifs they do only carry a 90 day warranty window.
Motifs/Holiday Items
Birddog Lighting does not accept returns on Motifs; however, replacements or replacement bulbs will be provided under a 90-day limited warranty. If your motif is not working or something is wrong please contact our support team with the problem, order information and pictures of the situation. Birddog Lighting will provide an RMA number if we need to evaluate the motif at our warehouse. Repairs or replacements within the 90-day timeframe will be free of charge. Environmental factors such as rust, corrosion etc are not considered defective and will not be covered under warranty.Now in that interest of customer service we would be happy to offer a 30% store credit so you can use towards a new motif. If you would like to go with this option just let me know and we can get this started.

We would like to amend our reply to the customer made by our staff member ***** and replace it with the following reply:
We're sorry to hear you are experiencing problems with your motif that you purchased in May of 2023. As you may know, all our motifs carry a 90 day warranty. As stated in the Defective Items section of the Warranty & Returns page (****************************************************) the customer is responsible for evaluating the product within the Warranty Period to ensure it's operating properly. These are the policies agreed to upon checkout.
However, since our goal is to provide excellent customer service and quality products, we have made a one time exception to this policy. As per your internal correspondence stating you do not wish to receive a replacement (in accordance with our policy), we have already refunded your order in full. Please feel free to dispose of the motif.

This company is a big rip off because they promised me in an email that if I ordered items from their company (Christmas Motifs) and any arrived defective - then they would let me return it for free and give me a replacement - but NO - now they are dodging me and putting me off over and over for weeks saying they do NOT do any refunds or returns even though I sent them a picture of the damaged defective item. I had ordered 3 items and one was very defective with bent iron nose and crooked uncovered eyes with black tape on it like it was not new but had been previously used and returned and they were trying to **** it off on me! The other two items were great with no defects but this one was unrepairable and ugly! I am very disappointed with this company because I was deceived by the good reviews! Shame on them and not to mention they send you a discount code with your order of 10% off on your next purchase only to find out they say Ha ha sorry you already used it on your first order! This is all very dishonest deceptive and misleading and I want a complete refund or replacement with a free return label asap! Attached are pictures of the ad and the actual penguin. The snowman also had round eyes which were done perfectly but this penguin looks stupid and evil with unfinished eyes that can not be corrected because we tried!Business response

I did email you on friday, but I have attached your return label so you can send back that penguin motif back to us and then once we get that back we will process full refund for that since the pictures on our website were not accurate.

May 6th 2022And they still have not refunded my money for the defective deformed Penguin - and they keep saying they are going to do something and then they don't so I am not closing this complaint until they REFUND MY ACCOUNT FOR THE ***** PRICE OF THE DEFECTIVE PENQUIN AND SHIP OUT THE NATIVITY SCENE ORDERED BY MY HUSBAND (he purchased two under his account - one for me and one for our daughter as gifts and they said it would ship out today and now they can't find it?!?)
So until these cases are COMPLETELY SETTLED then we will not close this case and thanks!
Please do the right thing and stop ripping customers off claiming it is the picture that is wrong which you are responsible for or saying you will replace defective deformed items and then say sorry we don't do returns or refunds but can only give you 20% and you can keep the worthless defective item? And if you keep complaining then they say ok the most is 30%! What a scam! But if you do right and honor your word and take responsibility for your errors then and only then will you prosper and have repeat buyers otherwise you will not.

Yes I sent the defective deformed penguin back and they received it on May 9th (see attached pics for proof) but they are saying they received it on the 14th... so there is some discrepancy as usual ... because...
1- They send me an email before I place a big order of 3 items and promise if any are defective they will send a free return label and refund the total amount... but when one was defective they dodged me for weeks and kept giving me different emails to send the pic to proof the defectiveness and I did only to get an automated email that they were on vacation and wouldn't be back for a week and then they would respond... but they did not and instead I had to keep calling and emailing and begging for my refund...
2- They then say we do not do refunds but we can only give you 20-30% on the worthless item and let you keep it! WHAT? I want my full amount as promised and as is good business and normal practice for other businesses! So then I have to report them to BBB and then and only then did they say ok we sent a free return label and will refund the full amount as soon as we get it...
3- That was almost 2 weeks ago and *** says it was Delivered on May 9th and it is now May 16th and they still have not processed my refund. Why would they not escalate this refund being that they said it was the picture that was wrong although the snowman has the exact same eyes and the penguin is clearly smashed in the face is why it is deformed so if they are all like that they need to correct the picture and they need to refund me my money right away to keep their good reputation in the online business world.
4- NO ONE would dare order from a company who deals this way and does not give refunds on defective products but only a small percent towards it - WHAT? that is so unfair and unprofessional!
5- I have let them know that as soon as I get my refund I will close this case - otherwise I will have to escalate it - so come on Birddog do the right thing for me and for all future customers and you will prosper!
