Community Medical center in ********, MT needs to be deeply investigated for illegal and poor ************* area is the Billing practices. Every month, my ex husband and I received multiple bills for the same visit /invoice. I would often also receive another invoice with the previous bill amount and the latest charges combined. For example, I may receive two separate envelopes for invoice #*** and a third envelope with a combined bill of invoice #*** and a new invoice #***. This seems a purposeful way to confuse patients, who may then pay the same bill twice without knowing. It targets senior citizens, patients in stressful, dire situations, and those grieving from ******* ex and I also I received an overwhelming amount of live phone calls asking for payment, on bills not yet past due. Every call was scripted the same, stating the amount due on account number so-and-so, and to call ******* ex husband actually paid a bill which they said he did not, and they began threatening collections immediately. I dont know what he did (he does have a personal lawyer) but a few weeks later I received an apology letter from the billing department stating they were wrong. I too had an incident where I was threatened with collections and fought it until they said they were ******** is no secret in this town that *** ER repeatedly bills for things never received. I have ************************* don't often see the breakdown or bill, making it easy to fraud. Recently, I was sent to ER from a procedure just upstairs. Under Anesthesia I was moved in a way that flared a past injury of a broken pelvis. In ER I was asked if an IV pain med will help get me home. I already had an IV port, so I had the injection, and my mom took me home. A 30 min ER visit with one question, and one IV injection (not a puncture) and the bill was over $10,000 ************************* uses its product, which is healthcare, to financially abuse and fraud its customers and patients. .

After being hospitalized in May of 2021, during which time I was expected to provide my own care, ( nurses appeared to be overwhelmed), I received my first billing for services in January of 2024. When I called to inquire about this, customer service told me that it was the fault of my insurer due to denial of billing. They also advised that billing can take years. My insurer advised me that denial was based on lack of documentation, resolved in 2021. The billing practices of Community Medical Center is inexcusable, particularly trying to reassign blame. Billing staff were unfriendly, accusatory, and unhelpful. This has been a consistent experience in the past 5 years.
