On Oct 10th, ***** Davis of Davis Home Furniture made a ******** post to tell people that his entire facility in ********* was flooded, all furniture touched by flood water and had to go. So he put it all in parking lot and is allowing anyone to come get it themselves, they will not assist to load or tie down. All flooded furniture presents a health hazard because it is all contaminated by dirty water and who knows what microbes and bacteria live within. By letting people take it, by not helping them he assumes no liability, does not have to dispose of it properly and can take the insurance money and not have any recourse to anyone who is severely harmed by his "generosity." I hope that by making this report and having the picture of his ************** and many people who shared his post, he is held accountable and not given the insurance money he so desperately wantsInitial Complaint

The merchant pull the bait and switch. He delivered different furniture than what was described. They also delivered furniture with numerous scuffs and dents. We asked them to not leave the furniture at the delivery people told us its already in your house. Its yours. They did indicate that management would resolve the is***. They did not. Instead after numerous calls I was told that I should *** them. I have already contacted **************** and disputed the charge from my credit card. At this point all we would want is for them to come take back the damaged furniture they sold us and refund our money. We will replace it from a more reputable source.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Since initially filing this complaint this merchant has never replaced the items that arrived damaged, never issued any refund for even one ***** nor has he substantiated what he put on our credit card which is an excess of what it shouldve been.
I know its very doubtful that this person is going to do anything to rectify the problem but I feel its important to try to protect the public from a very dishonest business.Business response

01/21/22 I purchased a lift chair at Davis Furniture. I was not informed that if I needed to return the item that I would not receive a refund. The chair did not work out for my needs and today 01/22/22 I called the manager ***************************** to ask for a refund for the chair and that I would return it the same day that I picked it up. He said the store policy is if you return an item within 5 days of purchase they would give a store credit. I informed him that I was not informed of this otherwise I would have purchased the chair. He said no it was their policy. Again no one informed me of this awful policy I can't use the chair and I purchased and now I don't know what to do. I looked in the store yesterday and did not see any other chairs that would have worked for me. I just had a heart procedure and have a fractured back and I need a chair that workers for me and this chair doesn't. I feel since the chair has not been used they should allow me a refund since I was not aware of this horrible policy. This man was not accomodating at all. Thank youBusiness response
