My son ***** has been a resident at *** ************* **** since July 2021. During his residency multiple items that belonged to him came up missing and were not able to be recovered. Some of the items that were not able to be found included his clothes, book bag, and orthotic custom shoe inserts. He will be leaving the facility on 08/22/2022 due to some serious concerns that have been presented within the facility. ***** has taken a loss on many of his personal items and I was upset to hear that his TV may no longer work now and the remote can not be located within the home. When he started residing at the facility in July 2021, I purchased the TV brand new from the store. When I requested to obtain the TV, I was very damaged and the remote was missing. Staff mentioned that it was possibly broken and she had no way of verifying that because the remote was lost. I have reached out to management to discuss what options are available to ensure that the TV is returned in the same condition in which it was provided. I have not yet received a response. I think that ***** has taken enough of a loss on many of his belongings while residing at RHA at my expense and I do not think that he should not have a working television due to the loss of the remote in the facility or the strong possibility of it being broken at the facility.
