We recently had our cabin re-stained and ********************* and Appalachian Construction did an excellent job! **** kept me constantly up to date on the progress and discussed options with me. Both the power washing and actual staining were great.

We had a very positive experience with Appalachian Construction & Handyman. The ceilings above our front porch entry, back deck and screen porch all had very rough joints that were separating and looked very unfinished. AC&H responded immediately upon signing the contract for the work, sending the crew out in about two days. They showed up each day until they finished the job and they did a great job of making all 3 areas look much better. We are very happy with the work they did and will definitely use them again if we have any other projects.Review from Sandi S

I've used **** a couple of times now and you can always count on them to call you back and show up (which is a hard thing to find in the mountains!) This particular project needed a fast turnaround time to fix some water damage in the garage, and a few smaller projects. They came out last minute and replaced the rotten wood, dug out the dirt on the back, put in a drain and fixed the log and chinking siding.Review from Clint B

Pros: - Great at communication and responding on time - When delays or issues came up the owner of the company reached out to me directly to help resolve the issues - The worker assigned to help us did great at being open, transparent, and keeping me updated on what he was doing and why. - Company was great at providing quotes and invoices for paper trails and documentation. As a homeowner I like to keep track of work done on my house. Cons: - the only big con I have is that they don't have an online payment option set up. so you have to pay via wires, checks, etc. This honestly isn't the biggest issue compared to all the positives, but did just add one extra task to have to go into town to handle things. Overall I did enjoy my experience with the company. It's hard to find good workers in this construction field. I will probably use this company again for any future needs we haveReview from Eric W

AC&H did an overall good job with the work we requested. They re-insulated our crawlspace, sealed a few doors, fixed a downspout and installed some outdoor steps. Communication wasn't perfect at times and that led to some issues with the dimensions of the installed steps, but it worked out ok in the end. The workers who were on site were very professional and got the job done quicker than anticipated.Review from Kellie L

I hired Appalachian Construction to finish a late 1800's farmhouse renovation started by another contractor. In short, they were amazing. So much work to be completed (and redone from previous contractor). I have done several house renovations over the years and cannot say enough about the crews' attention to detail. Not a square corner in this house but they managed to install the whole kitchen (cabinets, appliances, tile floor, etc) with few hiccups. I highly recommend App Construction for any job, and I will use them again for future projects. Communication was timely, clear and efficient. Pricing is fair (and worth every penny). They were very professional to work with, they prioritized our project, they provided quick estimates both initially and when we "upgraded," our project to include the second bathroom, and they finished the project expediently. The contractor they sent out was a wonderful, talented young man, and the finished project looks great!Review from Michael W

They did a good job for us; fixing a sliding door, a folding door, some molding, a dying hemlock tree removal, stump-grinding, and breaking up an old concrete sidewalk. Good communication throughout and showed up when they said they would.
