I hired ELS in April 2021 to build a 30 x 20 deck with four posts and a 6x6 reinforced area to support a hot tub. ELS was very professional and did a great job with the deck. They even came back after the job was completed and fix a beam that had settled and a post that needed to be replaced. My complaint is about the reinforcements for the hot tub. ELS included this as part of their initial quote of $16k and then told us to contact them once our hot tub was delivered so the reinforcements could be placed directly under the hot tub after delivery. On 2 November 2021, I contacted ELS via text and said that the hot tub would be delivered early December 2021 so they would need to come out to emplace reinforcements, as contractually obligated. They responded promptly with "ok". I texted again on 9 November starting that the hot tub was being delivered earlier than expected and asked if they could come do the job mid-November. I did not receive a response until 20 November simply stating "this is not ********, this is ****** with ELS Doors". I then restated that I required my hot tub reinforcements, to which ****** responded "ok" and he was working on a big job in **********, NC. That was the last I heard from ELS. I have been texting and calling weekly since then. Their phone number goes to voicemail (which is full) and they do not respond to text. I have not been able to use my hot tub from nearly 2 month since there are not reinforcements on the deck. I do not want to pay another contractor more money, since it was included in the original job, I would like the job completed as soon as possible, by this company. Or be given a partial refund so I can hire another company.
