On October 17th, I went into Carolina Mattress around 2:30. CSR ***** insisted me in purchasing a twin bed. I completed the lease document. ***** advised that I could come back with family to help get the bed. Once my dad, boyfriend and I arrived back and looked at the bed with ******, my dad said it will be too difficult and time consuming for him and my boyfriend move it out of the store and get in my home. I told ****** that I apologize but I decided not to purchase the bed. She said there was nothing she can do. I would need to contact the 3rd party credit and terminate the lease. I said that is fine, I can do that and thanked her. She became irritated and said she was going to contact her dad and see what they can do. I said it is fine, we just decided not to get the bed after all and I will contact the 3rd party. She apologized and said that she will break the bed down and set it up in my home. She was a bit assertive and pressure to take the bed. I told her that I would not be comfortable with that and thanked her again for her time but I would contact the 3rd party to terminate the lease that I signed since we did not remove the bunk bed out of the store. Later that day, I contacted acima credit to terminate the lease. They said the will follow up with the company. A few weeks later Acima called me and said that they could not contact Carolina Mattress. A couple days later they advised that they were able to contact ***** and that they advised that I had the bunk bed in my possession. On December Acima charger my bank account. I called Acima to identify why there was a charge and they indicated that it was due to Carolina Mattress indicating I had the bed. I have the copy of the text message that was sent to ****** sell phone number. I have a copy of photos of the bed that was still in the store front after they falsely communicated that I had possession. Also, there are documentation of phone calls with Acima since October 17th.
