EmergeOrtho has contracted a third party record keeping company called "RecordQuest" which will only release your medical records for a charge of $35 per recipient. What a racket! I had to pay them $70 for TWO transactions to release my records to my workplace and to the entity which manages short term disability. EmergeOrtho basically absolved themselves of any accountability when I called to inquire/complain, telling me "there was nothing they could do". Yes. There is. You can release MY RECORDS withough going through a third party who is profitting at my expense! I will NEVER patronize EmergeOrtho again.

I am a 100% disabled veteran who has VA Medical coverage. VA Medical policy is that we can self-refer for urgent care, but specialist visits require primary care referrals. My knee was hurting so i looked at emerge ortho's website which claimed they took VA medical, booked an urgent care appointment, went to a building with a big *********** sign on it, walked into the lobby and asked for urgent care, checked in as urgent care but was billed for a specialist visit. Calling the billing department, they told me "That's the way we bill". I argued back and forth, escalated the issue to no resolution. I ended up cancelling my follow up appointment because I'm not covered. I tried getting the VA to give me a referral after the fact, but they won't because they can handle it in house. Now I'm out more than $400.00 that I wouldn't be if someone was honest during the entire process, still in pain, and need to start all over with the VA.

Upon first visiting Emerge Ortho with a broken wrist. My encounter with ******************* and his staff was a nightmare. From the outset, after being placed in a cast, it was clear that something was wrong with the cast. I immediately voiced my concerns regarding the numbness and tingling sensation I was experiencing in my fingers and hand, but my complaints were brushed off.Without even an examination or evaluation, an X-ray was done and the PA {x-rayed with the cast in place} told me it doesnt look much different from earlier x-rays so we will wait and see.An examination or evaluation was neverperformed before or after the casting. They should have removed and a new cast placed. I endured months of unbearable pain and a rapidly worsening condition, I demanded an electromyography (***) test to show the cause of my symptoms. The results were nothing short of alarming: severe impingement of my median nerve due to the improper casting, the cast was applying severe pressure on the median nerve. This was so severe that emergent surgery was required the very next day to release the trapped nerve. This critical issue was overlooked by the doctor throughout my treatment.And furthermore, if the physical assessment had been done, why would the *** show dramatically different results than what he documented one week prior? It has taken me a grueling ************************************************************************************************************************************ I implore anyone seeking medical care to exercise extreme caution when considering Emerge Ortho or *******************. Their lack of professionalism, dismissive attitude towards patient complaints, and failure to provide competent care have caused me immeasurable pain and a prolonged recovery process. It is very sad that we cannot trust this group of orthopedic medical professionals and I know that they did NOT care for me with competence. Clearly they are NOT applying the best standard of care.
