My Company signed up for the service and after the 2 yrs. were up we were selling our business so we chose not to renew. After a year we receive a bill for almost ******* dollars when we told them we had sold the business they said we had signed another contract I asked them to send us the signed contract and they mailed me the contract and I called them and told them that this contract was not even dated so I would assume it was the contract from the original one and then they emailed me the contract again this time someone had went in and put a date. ******* Home Furniture has been a sponsor in good standing on the aftercare program in ****, **, since 9/8/2020 (see attached agreement).
The ********, program was renewed on or about June 22, 2022, and was signed by *************************** (see attached).
While no date appears on the signed agreement by ****************** (an oversight on our part), the date the contract was entered into our computer system was 6/22/2022 and was followed by a payment received from ******* Furniture for the first year of the agreement for $968.34 on check #****. The remaining balance due on this account of $968.34 is for the second year only and fulfills the contract.
While we empathize with this business closing, the volumes printed to service the ******** program are printed two years in advance to reduce costs. Therefore, cancellation before the 2-year agreement is not possible. We are, however, willing to settle for a lesser amount than is due to resolve this issue amicably.
