I had received a notification from my current credit union that I had an open balance from ******. I have not banked with ****** since 2020. I had called in to inquire about whatever charge or balance it was and I was provided not only poor customer service, but threatened to have my information send to an address that is not mine. I was directed to speak with *******, who gave me two different balances as we spoke. I asked for verification of the transaction history to which she refused to send to my current address but instead said she would only send it to an address that I had already previously stated I had not lived at since October of 2019 which contained sensitive and personal information about my previous account with ******. I have not only won disputes through the credit bureau that proved the account was unsubstantiated, but this credit union union representative was very unhelpful, disrespectful, and I dont appreciate being threatened to have my personal info sent to a Place I wont receive it and someone else lives. I would like to resolved things peacefully since its such a minimal transaction that is supposedly on my account l, but I will not be threatened by any financial institution.

      Business response

      04/04/2024

I am writing in response to a complaint that was written on me Monday March 25, 2024 from ***********************. I missed a phone call from ************** and returned his call on Friday March 22, 2024 with no response so I left a voicemail. A coworker had called me Friday afternoon informing me she spoke to ************** Friday morning and told him he would have to speak to me in regards to his charged off account. She informed me he was very rude to her stating he needed this fixed right now. When I spoke to him on Monday he asked why it was showing him that he owed our financial institution money on a charge off. When I pulled his account up I informed him this account was charged off on June 30, 2020 in the amount of $13.58. He became agitated saying he was not going to pay any money to us and requested copies of his transaction history. I told him letters were sent to the address we had on file for him informing him of the negative balance and when the account would be charged off. He said he never received any letters or notification. The address we have on file is not the correct address for **************. I told him per our policy, procedure and audit purposes we have to have a signed change of address form on file before we can update an address. ************** told me he would not be signing any form and demanded I send him his information to his current address. I told ************** he could dispute the charge off through the credit bureau if he felt this was not correct. ************** was very rude, loud and demanding, it was hard for me to explain anything to him without getting cut off. This account has been charged off since 2020 and was reported to chexsystems in July 2020 so it is a known charge off account. ************** still owes $13.58 and once this is paid we will change the record to reflect a paid in full notice to the credit bureau. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me directly.

      Thank You,
