I had scheduled services for 04/27/2022 and had an agreed completion date of 5/11/2022. My services were for painting of the walls and trims in every room, as well as painting the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. The servicer failed to finish the job, they did a very poor job and left my house in disarray. They took down shelves and light fixtures that they refused to put back up. When I asked about putting everything back, she says it wasn't apart of the contract, however "setup" and "cleanup" is apart of the contract. I was told on several occasions that someone would be by to finish and clean up and no one has come to completely finish the job yet. There's paint splatter all over the floors, cabinets and appliances, the paint is peeling and you can see the previous color showing, they failed to put back the smoke detectors, carbon detectors and wall fixures. They left supplies everywhere, and paint was everywhere . . I reached out to the owner and was advised if I didn't pay she would place a lien on my property. In other words, the owner wanted payment for an incomplete job. I finalized payment, now I cant get the job finished or the corrections made. I was guaranteed someone would be here to finish last week. The guy showed up and promised he would be back 4 days in a row and never showed. I eventually sent a list to the owner and was told someone would be here today 5/23/22 at 9:00 am and no one ever showed up. On top of doing a terrible job that lacked effort and quality, they refuse to make corrections.Business response

Unfortunately this client has been difficult to get a hold of when scheduling touch up. The job was completed, however, she added a lot of work last minute so we needed to come back for detailing. We had scheduled one person she sent away. Then we asked to schedule again, no response. Finally when I sent her an email saying we are closing the job because we hadn’t heard back from her, she responded. She has been intentionally trying to get out of paying this bill and I believe is trying to use this as an excuse to dispute her bill. We went out today and did some touch ups. We were not contracted for many of the things she is requesting.

I am rejecting this response because:
I did not avoid payment ,per my attachment I made payment the same day the invoice was received. This company just wanted full payment for an unfinished job. I also didn’t ask them to do anything outside of the contract. Set up and clean up is apart of the contract and they failed to clean up. They took down fixtures, lights and shelves that were never put back up. These things are apart of the cleanup process. They left paint splatter everywhere that was never cleaned up. They did a rush job and it shows. Someone did come today and did paint touch ups and this it. No additional seevices was added. I was left to deal with the lights that weren’t replaced, the wall fixtures, fire alarm, doorbell cover and shelves that they took down and didn’t put back up(once again apart of the clean up). I was also very easy to contact, I answered whenever they decided to respond to my original communication.Business response

I can provide texts, emails, calendared appointments, etc. The job was completed. We came out several times to help her do things like hang new blinds, install shelving, etc. She intentionally would contact different people and ask them to schedule people. Then upon arrival (twice) she pretended she hadn’t scheduled it. That same day, I would receive a passive aggressive complaint. She has made no effort to resolve this with me. She is intentionally trying to commit fraud and I believe this is a game.Customer response

I have text, emails as well. Once again the company took down shelves, blinds and lights fixtures if they were incapable of putting them back up then they shouldnt have taken them down. I was under the impression that putting back the things taken down was apart of the "clean up" and if it wasnt then the company shouldnt have lied and said they would put it back up. I only have one number for this business and another contact for a guy named Brandon that came to make "corrections" and didnt complete the job. He left and said he would be back the next day and never came back. The same week he advised a guy named Steve was coming to complete the job and didnt give a time nor date. Steve showed up and advised he was unprepared and was advised by someone that the worker would come the next day.. I have the text messages to prove this. as well. When I contacted Alex the next day and advised no work was done, she even apologized for the misunderstanding. So for the next 2 times I was given reasons why people weren't showing up. I was even asked by Alex to provide a list of corrections via email. Once the list was received, Alex advised that the list would be complete. It has been over a month since this job was started.. and I am still trying to get paint splatter off of my new appliances, my floors and having to get other professionals to put the shelves, smoke alarms , lights and sound box put back up. Finally last Friday 6/10/22 someone came and completed one thing on the list. He said he would step outside but would be right back to clean up the paint splatter left all over my floors and appliance, the fixtures and shelves THEY TOOK DOWN were never put back up. They didnt clean up if they had I wouldnt have paint splatter everywhere. He stepped outside and pulled off in a truck. I never saw him again. I have been nothing but patient and honest with this company. They were paid and paid on time for doing a job that they did not complete. I was patient with them trusting that they would correct the errors that were made.
