My home was purchased in Dec 2016 from *** and Romanoff installed my HVAC system. I've noticed over the year when the temperature reached high 80s+ my hvac system can't keep up and will not cool the home properly. Based on a recent inspection from ****** ******* HVAC, the outdoor unit and indoor unit are a full ton different, the incorrect piston size was installed, the zone system doesn't have a stand alone transformer for it's power source and has an extremely long line set which all contributes to the issue with the AC. The system wasn't installed properly. I have contacted the builder (*** INC) as well (see case XXXXXXXX) and requested that the builder and Romanoff come out to inspect the issue and the builder has stopped responding on July 2nd 2021. The system came with a 2 year warranty. I noticed the issue within that time frame and it was inspected by romanoff and I wasn't advised of any of the issues listed above. Ive been advised the inadequate zoning system is the major issue. filed original bbb complaint under business that shows under **** ********** **** ********** NC ***** with no response but this appears to be the correct profile.Business response

Good Morning
The system installed in the Home passed all Local and State Code. During the 1 Year Warranty Period at the home we received only one service call. The home was also was file a year or so ago with *** inc(**** Homes) under the same complaint. The Zoning System is installed per specifications of Honeywell and the requirement of the transformer is not required and is a matter of opinion on other contractors service tickets. Attached is provided documentation from Resideo/Honeywell. At this time our position is that there is no neglect on the part of Romanoff Heating and Cooling. I am rejecting this response because:
Romanoff was negligent in not telling me the reason for the issue on the service call during the warranty period. I was told that the refrigerant levels were too high/low. also a prior complaint was mentioned which they never provided a formal response to last year.

Provided is the call in question by the Homeowner. Charge was adjusted and noted that the occupancy in the home at the time and the Windows being open the home would take time to catch back. I have also supplied the Piston Chart from Goodman showing that the piston we had installed at the time of the unit start was correct based on the Goodman Piston Chart.
I hope that the information provided brings the other trades issues to a close in the home. As stated before we consider this matter to be closed as we provide all back up documentation that claims by other contractor are false.

I am rejecting this response because: the document provided from the service call in 2017 proves nothing. I had several qualified contractors inspect the system and point out the same issues (****** ******* and ********** Heating) and they both noted as in the documents I provided how poorly the system was installed. Many others in my neighboorhood have had the same problem.
