They were very easy to work with and the install crew went above and beyond. There was a bit of an issue with my concrete due to my concrete guy not doing it right. ******** and his crew were able to work around it and get it done!I couldn't be more pleased, I always have people stop by to ask about the building because they love the look.10/10 highly recommend!Review from Brian D

This company was very easy to work with.. **** and his crew, the installers were top notch.. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail were 1st class. The time they spent making sure everything was square and level was unbelievable.. I was highly impressed and put my building up in 2 days.. A window showed up damaged and customer service was on top of it immediately. I would definitely use them again!Review from S. M.

SCAM They say free installation but when they get to the site they want to charge you more. When you say no they keep your deposit and charge you a 5% restock fee. Customer service is terrible and doesn't tell the truth.NC Steel Buildings Inc Response

Good afternoon, just to clarify our installers charged you extra labor fees after starting to square and level and discovering your site was 2ft off leveled, we explained to you that in order for your building to be installed properly how your site was, they would have to cut down 2ft off one side making one side 6ft and the other 8ft. Once you mentioned you did not want that we mentioned that if you would like to fix your site first and then we come back in the future there would be a 5% restock fee and our last truck was the one at your site until we get another truck available in your area. Your deposit is nonrefundable and if you did not want the building there was not going to be a 5% restock fee charged unless you decided you wanted it in the future, and this is all stated on our contract that you signed when purchasing the building. We mentioned this information multiple times to work with you and you told our installers to get off your property and you did not want the building. We were responded disrespectfully by you and your son we do not believe that was the correct way to treat our office personnel when they were doing their best to work with you and help you understand.Customer Response

That is a total lie. Not one time we're we disrespectful to you. We even asked for it to be set up in a more level location on our property and you refused. You have no right keeping my deposit at all when your installers were not interested in doing any work. Give me back my deposit to show that you are a legitimate company. I do not trust your installers at all. Any business that wants to show good faith wouldn't take almost a thousand dollars from a widow. After talking to several other customers this what you do. You scam people. I couldn't even get a call back from the owner.NC Steel Buildings Inc Response

Unfortunately, being called curse names and telling our office personnel they are only little fishes in the market is disrespectful when the only thing they were doing was helping you understand that our installers and office told you the options you had as to getting your building put up that day. As well as the person you called curse names over the phone was the owner. Your deposit being un refundable is stated in your contract that you read and signed before your down payment was taken. If you did not agree to something on that contract, you did not have to sign or do business with NC Steel Buildings. You not once stated that we could install at a different part of the property.Review from C. E.

I'm giving one star due to unethical procedures and poor customer service. We were sold a metal garage. Two days after installation we entered the garage and there were water puddles all over the concrete floor. The garage had developed a lot of condensation. Apparently to keep this from happening the builders and installers are to add some type of insulation before putting the roof on. This was never explained told to us. It was not offered for us to purchase. We knew nothing about the need to have insulation. We called the company and received a run around until the next day when a customer service representative by the name of Ronnie S****** **, stating he was the manager, gave us a call back. He first left a voicemail on my (wife's) phone which stated inaccurately that my husband had called wanting to speak to a man and that no one else would do. My husband did not ask specifically for a man, he asked to speak with a manager or preferably the owner so that our problem could be resolved. A secretary or sales rep is unable to resolve problems with the garage build. Further in the voicemail that was left on my phone he proceeded to talk about himself and how he was in the Army and been overseas and it doesn't get any more man than that. Once I called him back I explained that my husband never asked for a man, just a manager or owner. He was very arrogant and rude and only wanted to talk about himself, his sales rep experience, his stint in the military, etc., instead of trying to resolve the issue. According to him the sales reps are supposed to explain about the insulation and suggest that it is to be purchased to prevent condensation in the building. As stated before it was never brought to our attention. We have tried to find a resolution but after saying they would call back with a price for insulation we have not heard from the company and they will not answer our phone calls or return our calls after leaving numerous messages. Poor business!NC Steel Buildings Inc Response

Greeting from NC Steel Buildings. Mr./Mrs. ***** first of all, we thank yall for buying your building through us. During the purchasing process our sale rep. did mention insulation on yall building, Mr. ***** told the sales rep. for the moment he didn't need the insulation. We had communication with yall since day 1 of the purchase and when yall was having the leak problem we respond back. Yes, yall did call several times that yall building was leaking. We told you to send pictures. It sweat due to the condensation it seems like its leaking but it really it not. Our manager offered Mr. ***** free labor to remove the roof and put it back to install the insulation on the roof only and he would only pay for the insulation cost. Mr. ***** denied the offer that our manager offered, and he wanted insulation for free.Customer Response

The response from NC Steel Buildings is a bold face lie. I would love it if they could produce the correspondence or recording proving that insulation was offered to us from the beginning. We did not say we didn't need insulation at the time of the sale because we had no idea it was needed in the first place. After submitting the original review with BBB they did finally call us back and offered to install the insulation....at double the price of what it actually costs. So we opted not to do anymore business with them, and never will again.
