*********************** from Scott's Gutter met with me in November, 2023 to discuss installation of gutter guards at our home. As we walked around the house and he took his measurements, he said that part of their work included cleaning the gutters and the downspouts. He tapped on a few of our downspouts and said he could tell they were stopped up. He later provided me with the attached estimate.They completed the work (although not completely, hence this complaint) in early December. I was at the house during some but not all of the crew's work. I paid their invoice in full on 12/13/2023, a copy of which is attached. I initially misunderstood what ****************** meant by cleaning the gutters. I thought he meant cleaning the inside AND the outside of the gutters. He meant only the inside. I accepted that explanation.In early March 2024 I hired an individual to pressure wash the exterior of the house, including the outside of the gutters. After completing his work he reported that the gutters were not draining and were in fact overflowing the downspouts. On March 15, 2024 I reached out to ************************ via email to tell him that I didn't think the downspouts had been cleaned. ************************ responded the same day via text to say he would address the issue the following week. I never heard back from him either by email nor by text. On March 28, 2024 (during a rainstorm) I sent him a reminder text with a photo showing overflow at one downspout at the front of the house. I received no response to that text either.************************ seems like a responsible business person but this is a case where he made promises regarding their scope of work and did not deliver on those promises. Scott's Gutter is owned by Coastal Craftsmen, which is owned by ***********************. We have known ***** since 2007 by way of another downtown New ****************** I have not reached out to **************** as the BBB seems to be a better vehicle for handling this situation.Initial Complaint

October of 2021 I contacted **** ********* of Scott's Gutter in *** **** NC and asked for an estimate to install seamless gutters, gutter guards, down spouts, and wrap the facia and soffits in aluminum. The estimate on November 2nd was for $18,344.99. We agreed to have them install everything. The did the installation in two parts during November and December. The job was paid in full in December. In June of 2022 I noticed an outbuilding of ours that they had installed gutters on to be leaking in the front and rear between the gutters and the facia. I called, texted and emailed **** at Scott's. He wrote back and agreed they would come out and make repairs. A crew of two showed up on November 22nd of 2022. They were here about an hour and a half and then left without telling us they were done. When we realized they were gone, we went out and discovered they had gooped a lot of caulk along the gutters and never smoothed it out. It looks terrible. The next rain we had I went and looked and it's still leaking. My wife and I have contacted him dozens of times. Mostly he ignores us. Occasionally he promises a date, but no shows.
