I used ******* soap and it ruined three articles of black clothing. I have tried, on numerous occasions, to reach out to their customer service department without a resolution. I am happy to forward the email thread to give you more information. I would like to be refunded for the detergent and to replace the clothing, worth $50.Customer response

I received a response from the company. They gave me two options. I could try to dye my clothing back to black or mail them my clothing. I am not comfortable doing either one. At this point, I would like a refund for my Charlies laundry soap. I have no other choice than to replace my ruined clothing at my own expense. Im very disappointed.Business response

This is the first time I saw the BBB complaint, but I believe that customer service has been in contact with this customer regarding suggestions for a solution. Has the customer tried to ask the original vendor for a refund, yet?Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I was hoping that Charlies soap would replace or compensate me for two articles of black clothing that were ruined by having a bleaching effect. I followed the washing instructions on the bag. Its evident that that is not going to happen so Im requesting a refund directly from the company as it is too late to return to the grocery store. It was $16.99 plus tax. Im disappointed that this happened as I try to support local businesses.Business response

Although it is against our policy to return money to customers who bought our ********************** from another vendor, it is in our policy to help people whenever it is possible and reasonable. We will cover her $16.99 purchase price. I will have a check cut and mailed to her. I need only the address.Customer response
