Contracted for patio concrete coating in 2019. Paid in full afterwork completed. First application did not adhere, cracked and fell off in 2021. Contacted "*****" repeatedly to correct, as his company specifically stated; " All our work is backed by a 5 year warranty. Quality is our number one priority. We work to ensure that you, the customer, are pleased with the results. Honesty is our policy at Liberty Concrete Coatings and we strive to complete all our projects with integrity, not just with our clients," After repeated demands, ***** returned to our home in 2021, offered a different coating, and refinished the patio. Employees repeatedly complained about ***** as a boss. Job site left in disarray. Cracks in the coating appeared within two months. Contacted ***** to repair the coatings. ***** repeatedly differed and delayed finally sent employee who drilled hole in patio to check moisture level. Nothing heard from ***** two weeks after drilling. Contacted *****, who again would not affect repair as he had "a big job coming up." Advised ***** he was not living up to his word of honor, to which he ranted about his personal life issues, repeatedly using the "F" word to me. I advised him I would take any and all civil means to recover my money. He consented to refunding my money but a week later no funds received.

This job was completed initially under another company I worked for in March 2019. I started Liberty Concrete Coatings in late July 2019 where we cater to larger commercial and industrial projects. In good faith I have attempted to recoat his patio which originally was stamped concrete. The coating had some spots pop up but the cracks are in his concrete slab and directly related to the hot tub which is holding thousands of pounds of water.

Mr ******* is retired army and has a tendency to talk down to you. He has made some of our team members (male) feel uncomfortable by feeding them candy. He would not hand it to them, he put it in their mouth.

The last time I spoke to Mr ******* was on 24 Oct, I was under a lot of pressure to get some other jobs completed because we have a job starting the first of December that will last through the first of the year and my 6 year old son was going in for surgery on 9 Nov. I offered to have a crew there on 31 Oct to start work on his patio. Mr *******'s response was as follows:

"Per your expletive langauge in our phone conversation today, 24 October 2022 18:04, poor work performance and lack of remedial action on our contract to date, I am referring the matter to my attorney for civil relief. Do not contact us, do not enter our property, cease and desist."

My last text I offered to refund him his money, but I do not have record of what he paid.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not received money promised by the contractor ($3,800.00 paid on 18 March 2019) and have retained an attorney who will send a demand letter to the contractor.  Please keep the case open until my attorney hears from the contractor.  Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      **** *******
