This is the first issue that I have ever had to the point that I am now looking for another bank to open an account checking account with. Was reviewing my online banking and noticed that there was an ** fee on the same day money was direct deposited to my account at 12:01. When called they said it was because transaction was pending the day before but not yet cleared. On my online account it shows deposit that has been cleared, check, then the ** fee. When called the person was okay but not at all pleasant to talk to you. They told me the reason why there was an ** fee is because they were trying to decide whether or not to accept it but ended up accepting it after the direct deposit was made but still charge me the fee even though the funds were in account. U Unfortunately we do have auto loans with them but luckily all you have to have is a savings account with five dollars in it to keep loans with them. So definitely will be looking for a more transparent bank even with their online portals. On my end it never showed transaction was pending.

I applied for a car loan at Truliant, never have herd anything back, after calling them a few times and providing them "more" information, and still was waiting until after about 3 weeks past, when I called again they wouldn't answer on any of my questions just told me that I have to go to the branch, when I asked if I need to bring more documents the answer was "you can bring what you think you might need".When I came to the branch didn't get any answers, just was told that my information doesn't match with "theirs", the only thing I got from them that I have to call equifax and confirm my address, I did call them and my name, my address, and my birthday were fine, it was confirmed. So, obviously someone at the bank made a big mistake and they didn't want to communicate about it.Oh, one more thing, when I was applying for the loan I opened an account, in two weeks they canceled my account without explanation, seems like their employees don't get proper *********** much for Truliant, I would suggest to think twice before going to that bank, unless you have time to waste.

******** customer service. Attempted to make a payment but the app was having issues and locked me out even though I had the correct username and pw. Would not send me a pw recovery and said I had to call. 3 hours later they said I would have to go to a shared credit union to verify my identity despite giving them all the correct info. Once I verify I have to call them again. They could not explain how I could make a payment on my loan because I dont hv access to the account. Rude and disrespectful. I do not have an account w them other than my loan ( but they opened a savings acct that has zero in it). They honestly think someone stole my identity and then decided to be nice and make sure my payments werent late. By the time this is corrected I will have wasted 24 hrs of my time. Would never recommend.

The absolute worst bank ever if I could leave a 0 star review I would. Someone hacked my account deposited 2 bad checks forged my signature on those checks, and when the next business day came negative $1500. I filed a police report and took all the right steps they will not own up to their mistakes when I called the fraud department they said it sounds like you had something to do with this and hung up. My account has been on lock for 2 months and they will not accept the fact that they messed up and when notified about it they brushed it off because they get steal more money out of an individual.

Dear ****************,Thank you for contacting Truliant Federal Credit Union. We understand how upsetting and inconvenient it must have been to discover that your account was locked. It is important to us that our members feel secure and supported, especially in challenging situations like this. The decision to lock your accounts was made to protect your interests and the integrity of our credit union regarding deposits made to your account. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused and did not take this decision lightly. Your account was locked due to potential security concerns, which may have resulted from sharing your online banking credentials with a third party. If your credentials were used on an unrecognized device, our system would have triggered two-factor authentication, sending a verification code to your registered phone number. This security measure is designed to protect your account from unauthorized access. Please be assured that our actions aim to safeguard your accounts and ensure the security of all our members. If you would like more detailed information on how we handle such situations and our efforts to prevent them, you can review our Deposit Account Agreement at ************************************************************** . Theives. I'll keep it short and simple. They took $20 from me for "application fee" I was going to apply for a small cash loan because I was in a bind. I viewed the terms and conditions and the rates and decided against it. I did hit apply but never finished the application. I knew there was a fee for completing the application. They still charged $20 for an application I never completed. It's not the amount it's the principal. I read the terms/conditions no where does it say, just by pulling up the application I'll still be charged $20 for completing or not completing the application. I've been with them for years. Several Auto loans and more. I'm closing my accounts and going elsewhere.

There has been a fraud investigation on my debit card due to someone opening a ****** account under my name and using my card number. I had 9 fraudulent charges under ****** from March until August. I reported every single charge to the fraud **** and was told the money should be refunded in a few days. I went to use my new card a few days later, only for both of my debit cards to decline. I was told that the fraud department had turned my cards off and I would not be issued a new card due to how many claims I had made. I had NO CHOICE but to report those claims as they are fraudulent and a case that is on going with ******. Now truliant is saying I will not be issued new cards EVER. I have been a member for almost 30 years and have multiple accounts with them that I am forced to move to a new bank because of this. This is not only extremely unfair as this is out of my hands because someone stole my name and card info and had been draining my account, Im now being punished for reporting each charge and having my debit cards revoked. Its not only extremely inconvenient but also being handled so poorly to punish a member for something they cannot control. Not to mention I was told they had no further explanation as to why I was having my cards revoked and why they would not be able to re issue me any. I would never recommend Truliant to anyone as this has been the most stressful and demeaning experience.

Dear Mr. Rager, Thank you for contacting the Better Business Bureau on behalf of Truliant Federal Credit Union about the information our organization reports to the credit bureaus. We appreciate your concerns, and we are committed to addressing them promptly. When you apply for a loan through our online portal, it initially conducts a soft pull to determine which type of loan you qualify for. If you select one of the offers, it will then perform a hard pull on your credit. The disclosure under the submit button states the point at which it will conduct a hard pull on your credit. We understand your frustration in this matter, and as a courtesy, we have requested Equifax on August 15th to adjust the inquiry from August 13th from a hard pull to a soft pull. It generally takes 30-45 days for the update to take place through the credit bureau. Mr. Rager, we are grateful for your feedback on this matter. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to contact us. Sincerely, Truliant Federal Credit Union

Horrible communication. About to be charged for insurance on a car I do not have anymore. Keep getting letters from Truliant telling me I will be charged for them to give me insurance on a car that is totaled ! It is not being driven. It does not need insurance anymore. I no longer have the car in my possession and I will not get it back. It is a fraudulent charge. But they keep calling me and telling me the same thing and clearly not writing anything down that I tell them because every time I talk to them they act like this is new information they never knew about and there is nothing they can do to keep me from being charged for this insurance until Truliant actually buys the insurance for me and then it will be in their system. Why would I care to pay a company like this after I have told them I only needed a couple of months to pay since I have been hit with over ****** in medical bills. But they dont care obviously, and will only make it harder to pay. Have better communication and I want to pay but not if you guys are going to take advantage of me. Someone reach out please. I ultimately dont want to be scammed and I want to pay what I owe. But no one is helping me.

Recently opened an account with them. I submitted a mobile check deposit so I could fund the account with money from another Credit Union account I have. They received my money out of my account but will not release the funds to me for 9 days. They never shared that information with me one time; including the 4 previous phone calls I made about my deposit. When I asked about getting my funds, they acknowledged receiving my money, but sent them off to the Federal Reserve and thus can't give me my money. This is the absolutely the worst banking experience I have had in over 40 years of banking. You would think this was 1960 all over again. I will be closing this account as soon as I get my money. Not a reputable business at all.

Thank you for reaching out to share your concerns. We understand your time is valuable, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our mobile check deposit service. Upon reviewing your account, we show you recently opened your Truliant account. For all new members making their first check deposit, which is not a government or official check, there is a standard 9-day hold period. As your account ages and you consecutively show a positive account/transaction history, you will undoubtedly see shorter hold times. We apologize for any confusion regarding the hold procedures for new memberships and first-time check deposits. To avoid future holds, we recommend signing up for direct deposit. We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to serve you better. Please contact us at your convenience if you have any further questions or concerns.
