Contractor gave me an estimate on concrete replacement driveway and sidewalks. Contractor received down payment money and was to start work in March which never happened. Contractor gave me the runaround, excuses whyt he didn't start the job. April rolled around and I canceled the job with him and was told that I would get a refund on Friday April 19th. Contractor has not paid me my money and will not return phone calls or text messages.Business response

Job was originally supposed to start March 19th, I called to advise that I was behind schedule a week prior to when it was to be started. Then he advised that due to temperatures at night dropping below 50 degrees that he did not want to start the job due to concrete curing. I talked to him on 04/07/24 and told him that I was running behind due to losing help. April 15th he was advised that we would be starting his job on April 22nd. I received a text message from him on April 16th stating that he was cancelling the contract. On April 17th I advised him that I would try to get him his money back to him by April 19th. I was unable to get him his money back to him on that date. Due to prepaying for concrete and supplies, I am waiting for the refunds from the suppliers so that I can send him his money back.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: explanation of why he's not paying back the money is not viable. Most Contractors do not prepay for their concrete.

He has been paid his refund through his attorney.
