      The ** does not treat patients as emergent as it should. When you go in pain and need immediate assistance you are put into a queue that is 30 people deep and wait hours. The staff are not empathic.

      Concord Hospital needs to be looked at! They need a resolution to their own problems immediately. My 16 month old son apparently figured a way to climb out of his crib today. He fell and hit his head on something. His head was cracked open and it was a bloody mess. I took him to the ER and told them exactly that. His age, and that he fell almost 4 feet from his crib and he cracked his head open. They had us sit down and wait. We figured we would wait a short time. But we were very wrong. In total we waited 4 hours to be seen!!! Completely unacceptable, and certainly not fair to my son. I understand being understaffed, being busy and rooms being full. But infants, and children in general should always be priority. Which they were not at all. Also the fact that he wasn't in there just because he didn't feel good or some other silly minor reason, says to me that is another reason for being seen right away. On top of all of this, all of the employees we talked to or had any type of interaction with, except for one, were completely rude, uncaring, and miserable seeming themselves. The visit to the hospital today was the absolute worst I've ever dealt with or seen. As a hospital, no matter how understaffed, busy, or overcrowded you are, they should and one would think would, always have some sort of other back up plan. Either close the place down and send everyone to other hospitals, or figure out something, where people(who should be seen before some others, or actually need to be seen!) aren't sitting and waiting for hours on end! They have been pretty terrible, or "not the best" for a long time, but now it's even much worse! I am (and I know for a fact alot of other people are) very irritated, upset, angry, bothered, frustrated and very dumbfounded by this entire situation, visit, patient service, and hospital. Something needs to be done immediately!! This hospital is ridiculous, unfair, unorganized, unprofessional, And also have poor communication!

      My husband went to the ER after a fall - he has dementia- they tested him and when I called to see if he was able to be picked up they said yes. Did I mention he has dementia- he is like a child- when I asked where to pick him up they said in his room in the ER. I drove up to the hospital- he was outside on the bench! With his discharge paperwork! I had not spoken to a doctor to know the findings of the cat scan etc not to mention- HE HAS DEMENTIA- he could have wandered off! Complete incompetence! I have called the " customer service line" got an attitude- no one cares! Horrible!!!
