Move Central moved us from ******* to ******* and most of our furniture was broken and we were missing so much and then they tell you that they only pay .60 cents per pound. *********** is a rip off and dont use them

Do Not *se M.ove ********!!! I REPEAT DO NOT *SE M.OVE ********!!! I usually don't write reviews, but I had to write this one. This is my first and last time using this company. This was an out of state move from GA-**. I gave an inventory a week before the move and received a quote on 23 SEP 22. Everything looked good, I signed the **contract. Three days before the move on 28 SEP 22 they wanted a recap of the inventory. I was then told that certain items needed to be protected for an extra charge of $400+ or they would not go on the truck. Huh? Why wasn't this information disclosed during the initial quote phone call? I was sent another **contract to sign with the extra fee added. I did not sign it. I stated that I will wrap those items myself. That was the 1st Red Flag. When the move day came 1 OCT 22 the movers were on time and professional. When the truck was loaded it went over by 100cu ft. Huh? Of course there was an extra fee. This was just one room and 12 boxes not an apartment. I packed the same items in a 10ft * Haul that was less than 400cu ft. and the * Haul was not overflowing. That was the 2nd Red Flag. Hats off to ******************** deeply appreciated his outstanding communication and his approach to resolving issues. The movers arrived in 3 days on 4 OCT 22. My aunt was moving into an assisted living facility. I received a call from one of the movers telling me that there is an extra $100 charge for moving items every 75ft. Huh? That was the 3rd Red Flag. It seems to me that this company will nickle and dime you. They should at the least give you a heads up and bring some common things to your attention that could be an issue, rather than saying it's in your contract. During this whole evolution I spoke to 5 different people. I found out that they will charge you if they have to walk around your grass. Wow, just wow.
