I am a student at Eastern International College and after being charged $7,500 to be placed on a unpaid externship which I had to find for myself even though it was not my job. I was lucky to find a externship site that was allowing me to work there as well as doing my externship hours. When my externship was coming to an end my former boss decided to let me go because he couldn't afford to pay me. My former boss decided to not allow me to finish my unpaid externship hours after he dismissed me. and now my school is saying that is not their responsibility to find me an externship site because I got fired from my job, which had nothing to do with my externship. Eastern International College has been doing this to most of the students for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. They will tell us the school offer flexible schedules, externship sites placement, help finding jobs after graduation and once you enroll is the complete opposite. The professor barely show up to class. The classes are during the day so is hard to work and go to school. They make you wait years to be placed on externship and they make it so hard to apply for financial aid or student loans because they want us to pay cash. Unless you are good friends with the staff they treat you like garbage. Trying to mediate any problem is not even an option. I have contacted the **** and the *** and nothing has been done about my situation. After two months of waiting for my school to help me they told me I have to find my own externship site because I lost my job and their contract states that if a student is dismissed from the externship site which again has nothing to do with me losing my job, the student is responsible to find their own externship site. I paid all that money for nothing basically and after all those years in school I won't get my diploma that I'm paying for because I went to school on student loans. A lot of students are complaining to the school about the unfair treatment
