My 77-year-old father resides at ****** ******* Apartments in *****, **, managed by Elon Property Management. On 9/1/2024, charges for $82.94 and $95.31 plus collection fees were added to his monthly rent. On 9/4/2024, I received notification that the auto-pay for the rent was unsuccessful because the amount exceeded the established maximum. I immediately went in and made a payment manually so he would not incur a late fee. On 9/17, I called the office and spoke to Arin J. He advised the charges were for billbacks because the electricity was not in my father's name. I explained that the service was in my father's name and sent him the last 3 statements and payments. He stated he would forward it to corporate and call me back the next day. Arin never called me back. Instead, he called my father, told him there was still a balance and debited his account another $112.94. On 9/20, I called the toll-free number for customer care and left a voice message. They never returned my call. On 9/23, I conferenced a call with Arin and Brenda from ****. She confirmed that the service had been in my father's name since 5/31/2018 without interruption. I questioned him about the new charge and he said corporate charges for billbacks. On 9/26, I received an email from Arin showing **** statements billed to the company. I reviewed them and noticed that the charges that coincided with the amounts billed to my father were for a resident in 8723. I replied to his email making him aware of the error. The address on the bill is not my father's. He said he would look into it when he returned to the office. He never got back to me. I called on 9/30, Ordelis answered and transferred me to his extension. He immediately hung up. I called back and asked Ordelis for the number to corporate. She gave me ###-###-####. I left a message, no one called me back. I then emailed him expressing my frustration and intent to escalate this issue. No one in the office nor corporate has attempted to resolve

I signed a lease with **************** on the beginning of May. I paid my security deposit my move in date was on July 12th. They told me on July 5th that my apartment won't be ready to be moved in. They waited to the last minute to let me know that. I was told that I would get my apartment on July 12th. Then they told me that my apartment would be ready end of July or beginning of ******. ****** came and they told me that my apartment won't be ready until end of ****** or begging of September. So, they kept playing this game with me and then I told them that I would like a refund on my security deposit on ****** 16, 2024. They told me that i would get the check by the following Friday. When the following Friday came they old me that it would come on the following Friday. When the following Friday came I called them AGAIN and they said that he corporation is going to release my check on September 14th. I have been getting a run around from this apartment complex and they haven't kept their promise of giving me the apartment and they haven't kept their promise of giving me my security deposit. This is not fair and a person shouldn't have to deal with this. Since may all they have been doing is making me waste my time and they kept my money without giving it to me and I'm still waiting for it and its been a whole month.

Was paying month to month for the last year because I knew I was moving just didn't know when. Upon finding a new place I EMAILED the office manager and let her know the date and also provided a return address. 1 month later I get a letter in the mail at their apartment complex from Fair Collections & Outsourcing stating that I owe $947.17. I called the office several times no reply. Sent several emails to corporate no reply. Went by the office to see why I was getting no reply....(the turnover rate is so high) The new girl stated that she got my messages but she is new!! I asked why didn't she reach out to her manager...she just gave me the blank stare. I want to know in detail what are my damages and why the security deposit did not cover it

I moved into this studio apartment at the property listed in May 2022 under a six (6) month lease agreement. Upon my tenancy and stay at this property I paid my rent on time every month. When I moved in, I stressed to the property manager upon my move in my concern regarding the carpet in that unit being unclean, which the property manager at that time insisted that they had cleaned it prior to my move in. I didn't pursue it any further as I knew my lease and stay would not be permanent. Upon my lease ending, on October 31st, 2022 I went to the property manager as I was returning my keys to ask for a walk through, as I explained that I had left that property in better condition than when I moved in, the female (I can't remember her actual name) then advised me that we didn't need to do a walk through and that I could just return my keys (house and mailbox) at that time, Which I did, I took and have valid pictures and videos of my move in conditions of that rental property as well as the last day of my occupancy upon my returning the keys. In December 2022 or January 2023, I noticed that I had a collections item on my credit report and upon me getting the information it was determined that the rental management had placed a collections item on my credit report stating that I owed $118 and it was forwarded to a collections agency named, Fair Collections and Outsourcing (**********, **) and when I contacted them they advised me that it was for a carpet charge from the property rental company listed in my complaint. I then contacted the actual rental location at the ******** office telephone number **************, upon my contact I spoke with the property manager that advised me first that the charge was for cleaning, then I was advised by her that it was for full replacement of that units carpeting. I have been disputing this with my proof of no damages when I left that apartment. It is affecting my credit and this carpet in my videos and pictures will validate.

I moved in my apartment March 5th 2023. I paid a $65 credit check fee $350 non-refundable administrative fee.My rent is $1217 a month? $17 is charged each month for renters insurance but it does not protect you as the resident for your property inside. Also You are charged $13.95 to pay your rent online. Yes they charge you to pay your own rent.. When I moved in my apartment it was not ready. My stove was not working my shower head was broken. The water ******* was broken my door lock was hanging loose. The bathroom was not in good condition whatsoever. I could not use the stove. They had to repair all these things after I moved in and after I had already paid all the money upfront. Today. I turned on my air conditioner and it fell apart. What fell apart was the cover for the air conditioner. The entire panel completely fell apart. Underneath I found broken wood and a lot of broken parts objects and just simply decay. The trim to my window simply fell apart. The wallpaper plaster that they put on the walls is peeling off the wall. They painted over hooks on the wall instead of removing them and caulking them properly. This management company does not care about the resident.. They need to be investigated for their illegal activity charging people to pay their own rent. If you pay your rent to the rental office on the property they will charge you $25. They give you an option to go to moneygram to pay you're rent which that is not safe and moneygram charges you nearly $4. The better business bureau should investigate this management company. They are violating many CONSUMER laws.. A resident should never have to worry about paying someone to pay his or her rent. I have never heard of anything like this.. A resident should not have to pay a $350 administrative fee and the apartment is not ready or has been refurbished or renovated. I residents should not have to pay $1200 in rent for this type of low substandard living.

I was injured at ***************************** in ***********, ******* due to maintenance improperly hanging a door as well as other issues. I have been seeking damages since this issue occurred, but Elon Property Management refused to pay my medical expenses. I had to have a CT scan as well as dental work. The dentist has repeatedly filled my cracked teeth but is now saying that he can't continue to do that. I now need a root canal. **** fixed the issues within the apartment due to being forced by the city. They also fired the maintenance guy, but they didn't reimburse me for medical expenses. I want them to pay for past and current dental work that was not covered by insurance, as it is not my fault they hired a lazy, incompetent maintenance guy. The office was provided medical documentation, and I contacted several members in the corporate office. However, nobody resolved my issue. Instead, they retaliated by not renewing my lease.I don't have documentation today of all medical expenses, but I can get it if **** is now willing to pay these expenses. I can fax it directly to the company representative. Also, these people forced residents to pay electronic rent processing fees and collected credit reporting funds but never submitted any documentation to credit bureaus. They were sued due to this matter.
