I set an appointment for my daughter. The day before the appointment I received a confirmation text for the appointment. Message stated NOTHING about appointment being canceled if I didnt reply. It is implied that if I set an appointment, I plan to keep that appointment. A simple reminder is appreciated. Not only was the appointment canceled but I wasnt even notified. They had a completely different phone number they messaged to cancel than they had to confirm. So I wasted my time ******* to get my daughter to a canceled appointment after working 16 hours. Then the front desk had us wait another 45 minutes before telling us we wouldnt be able to be seen. This company has no respect for their patients time and poor communication.

We are Pediatric Dentist that specialize in the care of pediatric patients. Our schedules book out months in advance due to our specialty. We try our best to accommodate our family of patients in a timely manner. We experience cancellations every day and had to implement a cancellation policy in order to cut down on the amount of missed appointments. A text confirmation went to the parent on 6/26/24 to confirm the patients dental appointment. In our message sent out on 6/26/24 we did note, that we needed confirmation for the appointment prior to 12 PM. ****** acknowledged he received the text message but did not respond because he knew he was coming. The only issue with this is we never received confirmation confirming parents intentions on coming to their child's dental appointment. The reason for confirmations are just that, we need to confirm their scheduled appointment. We also sent a text informing the parent that their appointment was canceled because we had not receive confirmation by 12 PM on 6/26/24. We understand, like many of our other working parents that life gets busy and they may not always be able to call the office to confirm. This was the reason why we setup a texting system. When the parent checked in at the front desk we informed the parent immediately that the patient's appointment was canceled, but we would check to see if we could still see her. Unfortunately, we were not able to accommodate the patient's time slot and made dad aware 15 minutes after checking in at 8 AM. Our goal is to never turn a patient away for treatment, however, we were unable to see the patient that day due to our booked schedule. Our patient coordinator also informed the parent of our policy as previously stated. We need confirmation no later than 12 PM the day prior to a scheduled dental appointment. The patient is rescheduled for a time later this month and the appointment was confirmed by parent. Holdbrook Pediatric Dental has total respect for our patients time. With our texting system no matter the time the parent can confirm appointments prior to the scheduled treatment. We apologize for your experience on 6/27/24. We look forward to seeing your child for their confirmed upcoming appointment!
