****** *.Buyer beware! Run and don't look back. They will say anything to get you to purchase their policy, but what they say, is not what the policy states. I asked the sale person if they would cover anything, an older appliance, he stated yes anything. I said you will repair or replace it ? Yes. What they failed to mention was if the cost to fix or replace the item is prohibitive based on the depreciated value of the appliance they will give you the depreciated value of the item. In my case a 10 year old washer/dryer unit required a $1000 part to repair it. The cost of a new unit is $1200. The reimbursement would be $200 towards a new unit. I said that does not replace nor repair my appliance. "See section 8 of the policy". Oh, the section you never mentioned verbally when you were selling me this policy! -- that states about the depreciation two pages after you indicate that washer and dryers are covered? What a scam. this company is a bunch of crooks. Based on the amount of poor reviews, someone needs to begin a class action suit against this company for the consumer.Review from Jorge A

***** A I purchased my insured on February 21, 2024, for 1 year and they give 2 months free, so it expires on May 22, 2025 On May 2024 I called for a toilet leak and they agreed to send me a check for $318... I am still waiting for that check. I call them almost every month and they give me all kind of excuses.On June 2024 I called because my refrigerator wasn't cooling, and they told me that they are going to send me a $100 check to get a new one. So far, I haven't gotten money.On July l told them to cancel my insurance, and they told that are going to send me a check for $48.51 even that I paid for a year and only used it for 5 months. Zero stars if that was an option. They have denied a claim for a new air conditioner and only offered $250 on the claim because I wanted to cancel the policy. Now, they want to charge me a cancelation fee. READ THE FINE PRINT! I could not get any resolution on my cancelation request, so I now have to block any and all transactions from thus company through my bank.Review from Vicki S

This is the worst company ever and a total scam. They sent someone out to check my AC and was told what the part is and about how much it would cost (from the service company) After several emails I find out they wanted 3 years of maintenance on the ac, but I told them I had only lived there a year and a half and bought it from Open Door not a local realtor. Open Door did not have any of the information provided to them to give to me for whatever reason so I was left with a $150 reimbursement because I didn't have 3 years, I only had the year and half. No exceptions, no ****** no anything. Some of the customer service people (from whatever country they are from) were nice but had no knowledge or could do nothing to get things done. this company takes your money every month and when it come to them fixing your phone they decide whether they are going to replace your part that's broken and still want to take your money out of your account every month I don't want nobody else to get taken by this company it's not worth the trouble and you have to pay the company for coming out to see what's broken ***** dollarsReview from Gary M

After a lengthy conversation with the salesman with Select Home Warranty, we purchased a five year plan for $2;365.00. After thinking about it for one week, we called the company and said we had changed our mind and wanted to cancel the plan and wanted our money refunded. We had been told by the salesman that if we changed our mind and had not filed a claim, we would receive the entire purchase price back. We were told during the first call, after several attempts to get us to change our minds, that they would cancel and we would get a confirmation email in 1-2 days and our credit card would be credited in 5-7 business days. We never received an email and after 6 days, we made the second call. We had to listen to the same script about what a great plan we had purchased and wouldnt we give them a chance. We said no and then they said, ok they will cancel and send an email, blah, blah blah. We made a third call three days later to confirm that the refund was in process. We were able to stop the young man trying to get us to change our mind and he told us that the manager had tried to call and even left a voicemail. I checked my phone and no missed calls and no emails. Our cancellation request and refund had not been started! It is now 4 days later and still no email. We will be seeking further assistance in this matter if it is not handled immediately.Review from Lorraine R

This company seems to be a sophisticated scam. September 30, 2023 our Warranty became effective. July 2024, I filed a refrigerator claim. A technician was sent but he could not correct the problem. I was offered $250 towards a replacement or new refrigerator. We bought a new refrigerator. We sent in the invoice but still have not received the $250 to date, 11/2/2024. Whenever we called to inquire about the check, it was always in the mail. Also I asked if they would remove the warranty for the new refrigerator since I purchased a warranty with PC ********. They said no. I have paid a total of $620.75 from inception to date. And have not received no service or the claims reimbursement towards the new refrigerator. Worst company said they were better than the past they are still bad no changes they wouldnt send a repairman out to fix my ceiling fan that I would have to buy the fan and find a repairman and pay for him and they would pay $35 is all put in a work order for my air conditioner still havent heard from them I am fed up gonna cancelReview from Kaitlin W

Unable to send out technicians appropriately. Fail to pay claims making excuses all along the way. Still waiting for my $500 check without a logical reason for delay.. Claim open for several months. Not sure how this company is still in business. Not sure if I will ever get the check they have promised. I cant cancel my policy until I get my check because of then I will never get the money but they wont send me the check (representatives keep making excuses for delay). Supervisors a lot worse than the general ***** AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Cant wait to hopefully cancel if I ever get my reimbursementReview from Caroll L

This company takes your money but never delivers reimbursements on claims. I turned in a claim on Aug 3 2024 for a replacement motor on our garage door opener and was told they would send me check for $185. I have called and emailed 6 times now and still have not received the reimbursement and it now Oct 30 ***************************** the check is being mailed!
