I need help with Comfort Pros' latest dispatch, *********, and removing the $500.00 charge I’ve been forced to pay for the Freon released during the 3rd HVAC technician’s visit. Upon receiving the invoice from Comfort Pros (see attachment), it became clear that this charge was applied to my account because of the technician's mistake while looking for the root cause. Instead of initially checking the state of the condenser service valve (this fix would take just 5 minutes), they were focused on replacing the bad compressor. Also (very important!), in the beginning, the technician was advised that my AC system contains fresh/expensive refrigerant (see an attached image), and that was confirmed with his tech tool (see attached image). He promised that there was no need for my concern because the rest of the steps were on Confort Pros. After releasing the Freon, the technician called his office and changed his mind, saying the previous warranty company had closed the valve and was guilty of the issue. Together, we contacted “******* *********** *********,” but they confirmed that they never touched the valve and suggested the AC compressor was dead. Also, looking at the attached invoice from Comfort Pros, their 2nd tech identified the same “compressor was bad.” So, they started with the compressor and my Freon but ended up just opening the valve…funny, yet it doesn’t feel right. Look where I am: We have been a retired couple since March 2023. My family survived without a functional AC system from May 2023 until April 17th, 2024. The last summer *********** was a real challenge for us… We paid yet another $133 for a new dispatch, but a new $500 charge doesn’t feel professional enough and is a lot of money for us.

They replaced complete central air system over the course of 2 years and there was a leak which wasnt detected or fixed! They were paid 5979$! Originally we were working through a warranty company named American Home Shield. They are the reason why we used Comfort Pros. I realized both companies are not good and canceled AHS when I thought system was fixed after them coming in and recharging (and replacing and charging more) about 4 times! Air still doesnt work and they told me they couldnt do anything without charging more money.I had another technician look at it and his diagnosis was that it wasnt connected correctly and I should have them stand by there work and make it right. I tried to reason with them and left a complaint with the owner, but never got a response!

My furnace was not working properly. I contacted my home warranty company who contracted Comfort Pro for the repair. The technician came out came out on 12/14/22 and determined that the motherboard was not working and would come back with a motherboard to see if that would get the furnace working. the technician returned on 12/23/22 with the mother board, but I was told that the furnace was still not working and that the furnace would have to be replaced. The technician informed me that there is a gas line running across the furnace and I would need to contact my gas company to have it removed prior to the furnace being replaced. I spoke to ******** at Comfort Pro who insisted that I pay for the services prior to the replacement date of 1/9/23. I told her that I did not feel comfortable paying prior to services was rendered and she stated that this how they do it. I then asked her what would happen if the gas company is unable to remove the gas line prior to the service date of 1/9/23. She replied that I can always cancel it or contact my credit card company for a refund. I reluctantly paid $2250.00, I contacted my gas company and was told that they do not do any work inside of the homes. I contacted my home warranty company and told them that I could not afford to have another contractor come out just to remove the gas line and they said that they would cash me out for the furnace after I cancelled with Comfort Pro. I contacted ******** at Comfort Pro on 1/3/23. ******** was nasty and rude, and she said that she is going to charge me a restocking fee and for another part that was custom made. I explained to her that she never mentioned a restocking fee or any charges when I had spoken to her. She then stated that it is within her right to charge and she has receipts. I then told her that this is why I didn't want to pay her before services were rendered. She "Too bad, you are being charged". I told her that I was contacting the BBB she said go ahead.

My air conditioning has been out since May 22nd. This company has failed to fix my air conditioning and has told me they are not capable of replacing the unit, yet they charged me around $1000 for a new compressor - which is not working. I want my money back. They also will not respond to the home warranty company - and allow me to seek service from another vendor.

Comfort Pros installed a new **/heating system in my home in February 2022. The unit is located in my attic. Right after leaving and installation of the unit, I had water damage to my ceiling. A representative of the company came back and inspected, and I was informed they would send a contractor out to repair- this never occurred. Follow-up phone calls were never responded to and I eventually had to repair and repaint the ceiling myself. At the time of the installation, I was told that because it was February they could not fully charge the ** and that if needed they would come out and do so at no additional charge. I just called the company and informed them that the unit was not cooling properly and I was informed that I would have to call American Home Shield and put in a service call even though this IS NOT what I was told at the time of installation. I am now required to pay an addition $108 to American Home Shield for this service call to be performed and I would like Comfort Pros to pay me this fee since it was their responsibility to complete the job. I unfortunately have no choice but to pay the fee because it is nearing 100 degrees and I need the unit functioning.

The company overcharged for work not done in the estimate by $500. They owe me a refund for $500. They also delayed services for ac repair in a heat wave and kept ordering to wrong parts furthering the delay. After replacing a part and not the whole unit as they claim, they would not refund for the additional items they quoted that were not completed. They harassed me and continue to threaten me because they want me to pay them more money.

I had an ********************** American Home Shield, and when they sent out Comfort Pros, they diagnosed the system as needing to be replaced. Comfort pros overcharged for some minor modifications that needed to be done, $3,000 for something that could have been done for a fraction of this, but because I was using the home warranty, I was forced to use this horrendous company for the installation. They installed the ** unit and this did not correct the problem because they did not tighten the connectors and the refrigerant leaked and caused water leakage that cause water damage. They came back to correct the issue and then overcharged the system. After another week the unit started to shut down because of the high pressure sensor due to the refrigerant being overcharged. Comfort pros refused to fix the issue even though the parts were under warranty as well as a labor warranty that Comfort Pros provided. I am now forced to pay an new technician to come and repair this that will be coming out of my pocket. So in review, overcharging for installation, overcharging the refrigerant and refusing to service the unit that they installed incorrectly. I see that they have a pattern of overcharging everything. I would also like to bring to your attention that the office was very rude and unprofessional. They were condescending and outright rude. My recommendation is to stay as far away from these clowns as possible.
