It would serve a higher purpose if Braun Research / BRI Interviewing folded of which I was a Telephone Interviewer, collecting data in a remote capacity. There have been multiple instances of bounce paychecks! A bounce paycheck with me this year and notes of it in the past with other employees. Despite the fact the company is most likely financially insolvent, it continued to practice micromanagement efforts against its of mostly marginalized employees!!! For example, in training, it was noted that I would have to ask for permission to go to the bathroom in my own home. Also, due to cash flow problems they were never able to provide adequate shifts of which they never communicated in an adequate way! Such as canceling 30 minutes before shifts or canceling them an hour after metrics were hit, etc. This was made worse, by the lack of decency to be forthright about their financial problems, and deflected through micromanaging and critiquing its marginalized employees. Some of who lived in remote areas, or were disabled, or single mothers, etc. Many of them could not just simply quit when their checks bounced. Hence why it was habitual. Furthermore, this was a polling-research company. Data collection through telephone interviewing. So, those who were crude on the phone, the companies who benefited from the research, like AARP Vital Voices, Politicians who rely on their polls. ********* etc. .They are all complicit to why this is a tragedy of a workplace ... .and the real tragedy is that there will be more posts like this in the future for Braun Research / BRI Interviewing.. as well as many polling institutes because Braun Research / BRI Interviewing will be allow to continue in the methods in which they function. As long as the data keeps flowing! No matter the costliterally!

Hello. I was a former employee of this company. First of all. We did cold-calling. As in we would call strangers that we (as far as I am aware) pulled from a voter registry. were were not calling people who were ready to take a survey. We would call on Sundays and we would call at around midnight for some folks (our office hours end at 11pm. But we would still be still be calling people on the east coast around that time. Secondly. The pay is subpar at best. A flat rate of 10 dollars an hour with no chance at a raise. What's worse is that most telephone interviewers can only work around 30 hours a week. This is not by choice of the employee but rather the company itself. Granted, there are chances to work overtime. But in my personal opinion. There's little incentive to work overtime for this company. While on the topic of labor cuts. Braun Research gauges productivity based on how many successful and complete surveys an interviewer can get in a single day. Thus if one employee were to be on a stroke of bad luck and have 90% of their calls end in hangups or answering machines, with the last 10% ending in break offs. There's a good chance their hours will be cut. Despite dispositioning calls efficiently, consistently, and according to Braun's policies. Moreover on their policies. They demand that we file hangups and refusals as "callbacks" as opposed to "refusals" or "DO NOT CALLS" And worst of all. They had scheduled us to work on Christmas day. Granted they would send a memo on the 23rd informing us that we would in reality have Christmas eve and Christmas day off. While it is nice to have the holidays off. They should have sent that memo when the sent out the schedule two weeks before hand. Between the subpar pay. No benefits, and labor cuts everywhere. As well as harassment from customers (To be fair that is on me) and management. (Braun loves to micromanage). Little or lack of communication from management. And a disregard that most people are not interested in taking surveys despite how much management insists people do.I do not recommend working for this company.
