      Brought my 4 yr old cat to the Deptford location, Thursday Jan 25th. He was visiting his litter pan repeatedly, but otherwise acting fine. They asked to do a "Scope"...with no explanation of HOW this is done, to see if he has any blockage. They took him back, brought him out 30 mins or so later. Then I was handed a BAG of pills and a liquid antibiotic. EVERYONE KNOWS CATS DON'T LIKE PILLS SHOVED DOWN THEIR THROATS! Sooo home I went, and it was IMPOSSIBLE to give these pills to my boy. I called the next day, and was offered a much CHEAPER and EASIER alternative. 2 injections, 1 for the antibiotic and 1 that was an anti-inflamatory...for an ADDITIONAL $140.00....I was NEVER offered this, on visit 1! Then later yesterday, I noticed my cats belly was shaved. Was NEVER told that was going to be done, and Im assuming he had to be held down! Furious I called this location last evening, Jan 27 for answers...Instead I got alot of talk about procedures, but NO answers to WHY i wasn't offered a CHEAPER alternative and why my cats belly was shaved....The conversation got HEATED! Mind you, I had spent $419.00 already!!!! The "assistant" HUNG UP ON ME after talking over me! I called back, no answer, kept calling...FINALLY someone answers. I asked why I was hung up on? The woman said, "it wasn't me"....and then said;..."we didn't like your attitude, and it you KEEP calling, we will HANG UP again" $419.00 wasted for USELES MEDICATIONS and DEPLORABLE service! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED this place exists!

      On a Friday night we brought our cat in because he was very lethargic and had eaten very little for several days previously. Pet Check diagnosed him as being diabetic and he was administered an antibiotic and fluids. The attending vet said he would need insulin very soon but that Pet Check did not have insulin and could not write a prescription for it. I was given a list of veterinarians that they deal with to call to obtain the insulin. The fee charged that night was $479.On that Saturday I called several veterinarians, both from our own searches and Pet Check's list. All of them were back up for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks for appointments and would not write prescriptions for insulin without an appointment. On that Monday I called ***************** inside Pet Smart, also in Deptford (where Pet Check is). Not only did they agree to see out cat the same day, but they could also write a prescription for insulin. The appointment was scheduled for 4:00.Unfortunately, despite no outward signs of stress, our cat was unresponsive at 1:45 that day.Hoping that he was in a coma and still alive, we rushed him to Pet Check and said that we were just there on Friday night. The cat was taken into a back room. Ten minutes later an assistant came out and told us the cat was deceased without any comment or explanation of any kind.No vet came out to talk with us. We were too shocked to say anything. What were they doing back there for ten minutes? Trying to revive him, trying to harm him, or conspiring to come up with a story to cover why a customer's pet passed away just three days and $479 later?Why could Pet Check not write a prescription for insulin? Why would they provide a list of vets whom they knew would be backed up and not able to help us? Why were most vets on their list more than 15 miles away from us when Banfield inside Pet Smart was barely 1/3 of a mile down the road from Pet Check and was not on their list? This was a sad and frustrating experience.

      I took my cat in yesterday on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm to be turned away after explaining to the receptionist that she was vomiting and not feeling well at the ****** ** office why even proceed to ask me whats wrong with her to just be turned away she stated they were not seeing any more patients and that I had to call first before coming but I mention to her that no where on the websites page mentions you have to call first and they close at 9pm very unprofessional
