      I had a procedure 3 years ago and I still have scars on my inner thighs. If I would have known this was going to leave scars I would never have done the procedure. I have tried everything lasers, microneedleing, chemical peels.. nothing will fix it. I've had this procedure done by experienced physicians in the past with better equipment and had no scarring. I want a refund from ***************************, PA-C.This is a medical procedure gone wrong by someone who is not a doctor and does not have the right equipment to perform the procedure. It was expensive and the result was horrible. I have the right to get my money back. What do I need to do to resolve this? I did get a quote from a doctor who said he could fix the scars with surgery that will cost me $5,000 to undo what ***************************, PA-C did. He knows his equipment leaves scars and he does this to his patients knowing they will have scars that will never go away.

      We appreciate this matter being brought to our attention. A scar can develop even if a wound heals without complications. Scarring is a natural part of our body's healing process. There are some people that are predisposed to forming thicker, or darker scars based on genetics, immune status, medications, and other factors which is out of our control. Most of our patients do have scarring present proceeding the procedure which are about 2mm in size. However, in most cases after a year or so they dissipate completely. As we know all of our patients are different, we do disclose this possibility in our medical disclosures that have to be acknowledged and signed off on by the patient prior to the them being seen. Regarding this matter we do have those disclosures present in our medical records. The patient initialed and signed this particular disclosure titled "liposuction risks" stating the following; Objectionable scarring is rare because of the minimal incisions used in liposuction, but abnormal scar formation is possible. Scars may be unattractive and of a different color than surrounding skin. If any further treatments are necessary to treat scarring, I understand that I am responsible for the costs incurred. 

      We include all of this information in our disclosures so we can ensure transparency, and ensure our patients have the necessary information to make an informed decision.

      Went and got abdominal lipo in May 27, 2021 and was not left the way I should have been left. I have contacted them to fix the problem and they wanna charge me to fix what they didn't do right. They left me more insecure with my own body and it makes me so sad that I paid so much money to get that procedure done and now my stomach looks like the rolling mountains as I call it. It's just ugly!

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/21) */ Hello there, we have attempted to get into contact with this patient to discuss her concerns multiple times, and she will not return our call. Unfortunately, the only response we've received from her was via text stating "she was busy". Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I told them I wanted a refund and didn't want anything else from them Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/07/29) */ I have reached out to the patient multiple times. I've left voicemail messages as well as texting. The only response I received back was an angry response saying that she is working and too busy to answer me. In review of photos that the patient provided, she is over one year post procedure and appears to have gained a significant amount of weight which would clearly alter her results from liposuction. After procedures, patients are expected to change lifestyle habits in order to maintain their results. This individual doesn't appear to take care of herself very well and is suffering from additional weight gain. This by no means was the fault of MyShape Lipo and a refund is not warranted.
