I had cervical Spinal surgery on November 7th 2023. I signed up for Senior Advantage plan and paid 5.00 and the Admitting employee said I did not have to pay the ******** that when you sign up on this plan it waves that fee. I have been trying to talk to the billing **** and explained i showed the girl my Senior Advantage Plan card when I went in for surgery that morning as instructed by admitting the week prior. They still bill me I have tried making ***** payments as that is all I can afford and as you know prices of everything are very high. I don't understand why they will not honor the Senior Advantage Plan I paid for and signed up for. I would like that fee waved as per my conversation with admitting and I will attached the plans pictures that shows exactly what I signed for.

She had diarrhea right at the entrance. There were two nurses talking to each other. They didn't say anything to us.After checking in, they took a urine sample to test. They gave her medicine to drink. We waited a long time in the emergency room. on 02/14/2024 I paid Spring Valley Hospital $1160.00 for a procedure, on 03/02/24 United Health Care processed the claim, stating that the procedure was 100% covered, no payment should have been required of me, since then I have have contacted Spring Valley Hospital 5 times, each time they stated they are reviewing the claim, and will get back to me. I have yet to hear from them, and do not believe it should take 4 months to review, and return my money.

Went to the Spring Valley ER on 8/25/23. I informed them that my co-pay was $1000. They insisted that I pay $1750 before leaving. So I did. When billing came, I had been over charged by $726. I called their billing department on 10/13/23. I was told that they would refund the money to my card and i should see in in about 10 days. That did not happen. So I called again on 10/31/2023. They said something about a glitch and that they would resend it. Well, that never happened either. So on 11/19/2023 my wife, *****, called. She spoke to a women named ***. After talking to her for over an hour and getting nowhere, she then spoke to a supervisor named ******. He asked to to give him another week to see what he can find out!!! All the while the charge is gathering interest on my charge and at the time I told them what my copay was but they still insisted that i pay their inflated price. They took it very fast but sure taking their time giving it back.

I had surgery as an outpatient on January 11, 2023. I prepaid the amount of $2,249.27 as requested from their billing department prior to the surgery, as credited on their billing statement. I received a statement (see attachment) at the end of March 2023 that the hospital owes me a refund of $1,719.61. I have made numerous calls to the billing department for the past 7 months requesting a refund. Their response is that they are reviewing the payment from the insurance company. My insurance company has reviewed this, and issued their final review that no additional monies are due. The hospital's billing department continues to refuse to issue my refund.

This matter was escalated to our billing department for immediate review and the account has been vetted and paid correctly. The adjustment has been made to show patient credit. A refund of $1,719.61 has been sent back to the card on file and patient should see the credit within 72hrs.

On 8/22/2022 I was admitted to Spring Valley Hospital. That evening they moved me to an upgraded care floor and later on the next day to the ICU.I have a special eye problem that requires very expensive, specialized contacts and precluded me from wearing glasses except at home for a very limited period of time. (see attachment 1, a quote for the contacts sent that day I found them gone from my provider. $1170 for the pair) The staff gathered my belongings and I saw the staff put my contacts in my grey tub that the hospital provided. (Documented by ***** *** attachment 2) That tub never made it to ICU. When I came out of sedation on the 24th I noticed my shaving kit was by itself and not on top of the grey tub. I reported it to my ICU Nurse ***** who sent it up to her Charge nurse. I kept asking about a follow up and again reported it to my ************ care nurse, (Attachment 3 documented by **********************). ******** gave me the Directors name, ******, and her number to call and follow up with. I was only able to speak to ***** once and she said she would be my contact. The intake form, per the Medical Surgical Director " ******" documented my contacts as being present. I have called tryig to get ****** on the phone and left messages for her to call me back the following dates:October 5, 7, 12, 24, 31 November 27 Dec 6, and four times on the 14th. I have been to her Office three times with no answer at her door and on November 27 I left a message with a Nurse who works on the ************ Care Unit to give to ****** to call **** have never heard back form ****** or anyone else.Spring Valley Hospital makes it almost impossible to make a complaint or find the next level supervisor.I just want them to pay for the replacement contacts directly to my provider.

We reviewed the complaint with the named Director, ******. ****** had not been aware of any attempts to contact her and immediately followed up with **************. Since then, she has been coordinating with him and his provider to get an updated quote on his specialized contacts in order to begin the process of reimbursing for them. ****** is maintaining regular communication with ************** and will continue to do so until the reimbursement process is completed.

I was admitted to the ** on 6/17/2022 at 11:00pm because I passed out and rushed to nearest hospital. I had a breast Cancer surgery on 5/2/2022 and still going through the stress of having cancer when I passed out on 6/17/2022.I was discharged on 6/19/2022 after been admitted for observation and running tests. Surprisingly, I started getting bills for a lot of things totaling $55,886.00 a day and half stay at this hospital. Things like $11753.00 for laboratory,$5228.00 for emergency room, $4148.00 for IP- PVT( 1 Day), Cardiology- $9587.00;CT Scan $7129.00, OTH treatment RM -$2896.00,Other DX SVC- $3751.00( what is other service charge?, EKG Tracing -$1291.00, 3Mobservation- $2450.00, Observation Stat Charge- $3751.00, Duplex Carotids comp Bill- $4148.00, ** Statistical Charge- $9587.00,Doppler Complete- $7129.00,Another CT Scan charge - $1014, OT ********* Mgt Train? -$769.00, OT&PT Therapeutic Act - $1100.00(15 min)each, 3MLevel 5 ED ************* $5228. There are more other charges but looking at these amounts listed above, it seemed the hospital was just pulling up any amount to charge in other to get the maximum payments from the insurance company. No surgery was done but only in hospital for observation and the hospital wanted $50,886.00 for one day service? These are ridiculous charges by any standard that should not be allowed without investigation and review . The insurance are been manipulated to paying more than they should because this hospitals are over charging for everything to get around the contracts they have with the insurance companies. You can not just pull numbers out of the air to charge people. This why the insurance companies keeps raising their premium to cover the amounts paid out. $50,886.00 for a day stay at the Spring Valley Hospital,*********,**., this is abuse of the medical billing system that needs review.

Our nurse auditor has completed a full charge audit on the account and all charges are correct as far as services provided or administered. All patients whom are treated by the hospital for any service on the same day will have the same gross charge amount on their account regardless of their ability to pay or insurance coverage, ******************** companies do not pay total (gross) charges on an account and the majority do not consider gross charges as a factor in their reimbursement. After through review, all charges are correct for this date of services as well as the billing to, and payment from, the insurance company. The patient's insurance company paid the bill. The patient's responsibility is $250 deductible. The patient's balance is currently delinquent

      Good Morning,

I have spoken with the patients father ***** today and this is now resolved. The patient had Liberty Healthshare ********** coverage and they approved the claim and paid $0.00.  I explained this is not considered a health insurance and we typically receive letter of agreements for payments, however did not receive a LOA or payment from insurance. He settled the claim already on 9/29/22 and paid 60% of ttl chgs $5,572.00. I offered him the uninsured discount, 40% of total charges and he was happy to receive a refund of $1,114.40. He will be seeking reimbursement from Liberty Healthshare directly.
