Back story: My husband Jaime ***** went to Spring Valley Er in June 2023 for stomach pain. A CAT scan was performed and it showed a stomach infection and antibiotics was given. He again got severe stomach pain with severe vomiting and went back to Spring Valley 6 days ago. Another CAT scan performed and found to have bowel obstruction. The scan also showed a mass in kidney. The ER doctor said it could be cancer and to follow up with a Urologist. During his 5 day stay Dr. ***** came in and said they were going to do an MRI to determine if the mass could be cancerous. I, his wife mentioned the scan from June and she said the mass didnt show up. So now we are thinking this is a fast growing growth. Our whole family who flew from California came to await the results of MRI. She called us and had her on speaker phone where she declared it was Renal cancer and that it didn't look like it had spread and that they van just cut it out. We saw Dr ***** from Urology Center who said after looking at both scans that it hadn't grown from June. What????? I explained that Spring Valleys report did not show mass. He said that he could see the mass from June. The written report states nothing about a mass and it was the same scan performed! He also said that it could be a cyst and not cancer and that going in after a bowel obstruction is not a good idea and we would check in 6 months and if it has grown then something would be done. Why was the mass from June not reported? Dr. ***** could see it! Why didn't Dr. ***** just say that there's a mass, not sure what it is but to follow up with specialist ? Why was she convinced it was Renal Cancer and declared this to all of us? Shame on you! You put us all through stress! Never choosing this hospital! I am also going to do a formal complaint along with complaint with Radiologist who wrote first report! If the mass had grown from June, you would have major lawsuit!

I am currently at Spring Valley Hospital. My father is a doctor. He has stage four colon and liver cancer. He’s at the hospital right now being treated. We have been waiting all day for a CAT scan results in seven in the morning. It is now 520pm the doctor will not release the scan results so my father has been starving without food or water For two days the nurses have been amazing. The doctors here are horrible. They do not give a **** about their patients. My poor father is dying in his bed right now without food or water for 48 hours because of a stupid CAT scan that this Dr. B will not release so since he will not release the CAT scan the nurses are unable to give him any food so my dad is in limbo of starving without food or water for 48 hours now. It’s a real shame because the nurses are so nice here and our nurses are trying so hard to get the scan result and get the OK to give my dad food or water and this doctor be you know who he is he works downstairs will not release the CAT scan or give the OK so he’d rather just starve my dad to death, I just think it’s so horrible and the way he treats his patient. How can you become a doctor and take the oath of being a good doctor and treat your patients like this? I’m completely disgusted and pissed off and I’m just watching my dad suffer in agony the nurses are us so sad for my dad because they want to feed him. They want to give him water or something but they have not been given the OK and every time they call downstairs they keep telling the nurses to wait. We have been waiting all day long. This is unacceptable. This is a complete atrocity and I just can’t believe this is the way you treat your patients, shame on you Spring Valley Hospital.
