I really dont know where to begin my worst nightmare & experience I have ever encountered with Drain Busters (DB). My main water pipe is leaking & needs to be replace. I called ********* came on 02/24/23 to start the job. The full amount must be paid $2,200 before they can begin the work so, I paid cash. ************ apprentice came to work on the issue. They told me itll only takes few days to finish the job. So, I believed them. Three days later they said they need to order the parts & waited for days. To make it short, they promised so many times that theyll show up & finish the job. However, theyre either no call/no show, late, dont bother calling ****** have to call & text them (I have saved all the text ***************** in my computer as proof). I got tired waiting for them for 2 weeks & so I called another plumbing company to get an estimated amount to fix it. Their estimate is too high & wanted to do more work. So, I called ****************** ***** ******* price is fare & also my neighbor used & he highly recommended them. Both other ************* explained me that DB did not properly followed the plumbing codes & pointed all their mistakes. See below 1)The depth of the holes varies between **** inches deep instead of minimum 18 inches.2)They did not wrap the pipes with noodle insulation & no blue tracer wire.3)They did not call the City Inspector to inspect it & get approval. 4)They did not put sand all around the pipes to protect it from rocks. There are small, medium & big rocks all over the pipes that can damage it. I live here in ************** there are many rocks when you dig the ground.5)They used cheap fittings for the pipes.6)They put plastic pipe instead of copper that goes to the garage wall. I told them its very hot here in ***** & the plastic pipe thats exposed to the sun will crack in few months even though theyll put wrapping.7)They made big uneven whole on the stucco wall to put the pipe through & needs to be patch. They did not patch it.8)The pipe that goes in the garage also crooked.9)They use very cheap clear plastic to put the dirt they dug out & did not put enough on top of the rocks. So, most of the dirt got mixed up with the rocks. It took me at least 16 hours of hard labor to separate the ************ & fixed all the broken sprinkler tubes & heads. They also tore up the fabric weed barriers which I replaced. ****** told me from the beginning that theyll put all the rocks & fix the sprinklers if they damage it. I called & wrote a complaint & emailed it to their office demanding to refund my money. Dream on! That will never happen but I tried my best. **** the owner did not even bother responding & tried to resolve the issues. I texted & called them few ************ ignored me completely. Its so sad & I cant believe this company really exist. I called ****** **************** & red many complaints on the *** website & so many home owners are victimized by these types of companies. No one is helping them. I highly believed that if you do good things youll be rewarded & blessed & Karma does exist. Note: ****************** did a fantastic job & excellent customer service for $3,050 including changing the pressure valve (**) in the garage. The ** alone cost $450-550 & did everything according to plumbing code. It only took them 1 day to finish the job (3 people showed up ******* supervisor even came to say Hello). Two days later, the City Inspector came & approved it. Also, I paid them after the job is COMPLETELY FINISHED. ****** 1NEVER PAID before the job is done.
