On nov. 12, 2021 I requested a service from this company, they came check my intercom and told me that they can't fix because they don't know if one part was damage. they want me to look for the part, that maybe the bad one, and call them again so they can come back and keep checking. In the meantime, they charged me more than $200.00 for 20 minutes the first day check up. And told me that when they come back to keep checking the work is going to be $180.00 per hour, plus $180.00 just for the ride to get to my house. The problem is that they didn't fix the problem and they don't know what the problem was. the only thing they can do is try replacing parts till it might work. Sombody has to do something in order to stop this people from continuing to scam others.Business response

Dear Client, we apologize for any inconvenience you had with our company. I want to make sure that I highlight a few key details that would shed light on this job in particular. We only charge $185/Hour or part of the hour along with a one-time charge of $68 for travel time. These are our company policies, and we educate all our clients on the initial call that it will be a Cash on Delivery (COD) form of payment.
********************** called us on November 12th, 2021 for intercom repair services. We explained our rates to **********************, and he agreed to proceeding with the job on that date. We removed the $68 charge for travel time to accommodate ********************* considering we wanted to work with him, hoping that he would be a returning client. After the job was complete, ********************** was unhappy with the final **** even though we explained the rates prior to having our technicians begin working on the job.
Our technicians completed the job on that date although the electric strike was faulty and needed to be replaced. The technicians repaired the electric strike as best they can and left the electric strike in working condition. Considering the electric strike was faulty even after repair, our technicians did not have the building-specific electric strike on hand, so we needed to order the part and come back to complete the job. We explained this to **********************, and we asked him to pay us for that days service to diagnose the system. Even though he complained we were there for 20 minutes, and we charged him for the full hour, we want to reiterate that all jobs have a minimum charge of one hour and we always charge to the nearest hour. Hence, he was charged $185 plus tax which was in total $201.41.
The very next day we called ********************** to confirm ordering the electric strike and in return he said that he will only do so if we did the job for free. His rationale was that the job was not complete considering we needed to replace a new part.
