I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with Best @ Pest Exterminating, a company contracted by our apartment's management company to treat a persistent bedbug infestation. Over the past year, my family and I have suffered through sleepless nights, physical discomfort from numerous bites, and a significant disruption to our lives, all due to a problem that remains unresolved.Despite repeated treatments conducted by Best @ Pest Exterminating, the bedbug issue in our home has not been alleviated. The failure to eradicate the infestation despite repeated attempts raises questions about the effectiveness of their extermination techniques and the quality of their service.Further exacerbating our distress is their apparent lack of transparency and unwillingness to share vital information. When requested, the company declined to provide us with service records, which we believe could help shed light on why the treatments have not been successful. Additionally, our enquiries regarding the specific chemicals being used for the treatments - a concern of paramount importance given that we have a nine-month-old baby whose crib was subjected to treatment - were also met with refusal.This lack of transparency and apparent disregard for customer well-being is not only disappointing but also deeply concerning. The management of pests, particularly those as disruptive and problematic as bedbugs, is a serious matter. It requires professional expertise, customer-centric service, and full transparency, all of which we have found to be lacking in our interactions with Best @ Pest Exterminating and its owner, Fida.Given our experiences, we feel it is necessary to caution others who might consider using this company's services.Business response

Hello, first of all wanted to express my apologies for any inconvenience.
1. This is big building with multi unit and residents of different ages with different social status. If next door apartment resident is hoarder or have any health issues or refuse to let anybody enter to their apartment. OR If court needs to assign guardian to that tenant to provide assistance , then its totally out of our hands, and if it takes months to assign. We cant do nothing except having preventive measures to control and further spread the pest infestation.
2. This is unfortunate situation but there is no bad intentions on our part, we want to be as much helpful and assist as much we can. During COVID with limited access to apartments or health concerns , regular pest control services were limited and which of course results in higher pest populations
3. As we are hired by your property management company , (As required by ECL laws , verified by the NYSDEC) the pest control company is not responsible to provide any service records directly to tenants but to the property management company.
We did provided the service records and pesticide labels of all the services. We provided the consulting visits too with out any extra charge. We continued the efforts by not demanding any payments for services from residents and property management, which shows our good faith.
4. We used all preventive methods and application of pesticides as per pesticide label which is approved by Federal Environmental agency (Which conduct tests and approved the use). The Application methods , dosage, equipment , safety measures were all complied with state laws (NYSDEC ECL laws, as thorough investigation was done recently after the complain by state enforcement agencies)
5. We can assure you that there is no negligence on our part or any bad intentions being held during the services. We are humans and wanted to act as good humans to help the other humans in our best capacity or abilities.

The owner of Best Pest Exterminating, ***********************, is a Scam Artist who accepts payment from landlords to write whatever the landlord's tell him on tenant's Inspection/Service/Assessment statements that is favorable for the landlord!!! This company has been sent to my apartment 3x on 12/20/22, 1/26/23, and the most recent on 1/27/23, to treat my apartment for "Fungus Gnats". Each time these exterminators have put a white powder substance in my house plants whch they claimed was not harmful if infested, and sprayed around all my inside windows wth a "Gentrol Aerosol" to kill these gnats. Each of these exterminators inspected the outer facade around my windows and stated that this was the "Primary Cause" of why my house has such as infestation of Fungus Gnats and that they will notify my landlord (**** Mgmnt.), to address all the cracks around my apartment windows!!! I was told by ********, the Exterminator that came on Friday, 1/27/23, that if all cracks around my windows are NOT!! sealed by my landlord, the treatment he sprayed around my windows wii be to no avail!! I called ************** on Friday, 1/27/23, evening to request a copy of my recent my recent *********************** and he was hesitant in giving it to me!! When I finally did receive the assessment, NONE!! OF WHAT WAS STATED TO ME BY THE ACTUAL EXTERMINATOR ON 1/27/23 WAS STATED ON THE RECEIPT!! I immediately pointed this out to **************, and he because agitated and starting yelling and said the following, "Since you are NOT!! the person paying me I don't have to explain my reason for saying that your house plants are the cause of your infestation, if you want to schedule an appt and PAY ME!! I will say what YOU!! want on the assessment"!!! Furthermore, the white powder that was put in my plants was NOT!! noted on this receipt, and I have been light headed wth a constant sore throat ever since!! ************** is a money hungry CON ARTIST, who will alter the truth on ************************ for money!!!!Business response

Hello, I read the complaint and I believe there is a big confusion.
We have contracts with the managements, and they are the middle person to handle. We always send all the recommendations to the property management.
Service reports legally required to have the pesticides used, address, product registration registration, locations treated, and method used to apply pesticides.
The structural aspect of recommendations is sent to the property management via email with pictures.
These are two separate records, and we requested the tenant to reach out to their property management as this is not our scope of work.
The tenant insisting on adding what's she wants to be written on the report.
We are licensed and certified and can't do anything out of our professional and legal boundaries.
We do apologies if it may cause any inconvenience to the tenant, but I never mentioned that she has to pay us to draft her words on the report.
The tenant can reach directly to their management for all of their needs and services. We should not be the one to be blamed as we got request to provide pest control service and we did. We did provide the pest control service report which we are obligated by state and federal laws.

I have reviewed the response made by the business inreference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Best Pest answer has not resolved my complaint because it does not address the fact tht this company constantly implies my house plants were/are the cause of these "Fungus Gnats" which is a BLATANT LIE!!! Furthermore, ************** continues to LIE!!! about my Fungus Gnats problem being resolved by his company because I STILL HAVE THESE GNATS IN MY APT. after 3 visits from Best Pest Exterminators!! The **** of ****** has contacted me as to whether this issue was resolved, and I promptly told they "NO", and gave them ************** name and his companies name for future reference!!! ************** does operate a reputable Exterminating company, and he is a Money Hungry little Troll, that has been conducting business like this for awhile. I WOULD NEVER ALLOW THIS EXTERMINATING COMPANY TO COME INTO MY HOME AGAIN, & I AM ALSO FILING A COMPLAINT WITH *** LICENSE BUREAU REGARDING ************** AND HIS UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES.
I am a 62 yr old woman who continues to live with these Fungus Gnats after 3 visits frm this company, and ************** is an employer who talks very condescending to female clients, he definitely needs help with his etiquette and office skills.

1. Best Pest answer has not resolved my complaint because it does not address the fact that this company constantly implies my house plants were/are the cause of these "Fungus Gnats" which is a BLATANT LIE!!!
. Scientific research shows that there is not too much known about lifecycle of fungus Gnats. Moisture and over watering plant can cause fungus which these insects feed on.please see link to **********************.***********************************************.
2. Furthermore, ************** continues to LIE!!! about my Fungus Gnats problem being resolved by his company because I STILL HAVE THESE GNATS IN MY APT. after 3 visits from Best Pest Exterminators!!
I never said that fungus gnat problem is solved as its multiple step and need follow ups.
3.The **** of ****** has contacted me as to whether this issue was resolved, and I promptly told they "NO", and gave them ************** name and his companies name for future reference!!! ************** does operate a reputable Exterminating company, and he is a Money Hungry little Troll, that has been conducting business like this for awhile.
I am Board Certified Associate Entomologist and holds a Bachelors degree in Agriculture and have 12 years experience in Agriculture sector with crops and pests. Further I don't claim to be A GOD but a simple human and cannot be successful in satisfying a pest situation.
4. I WOULD NEVER ALLOW THIS EXTERMINATING COMPANY TO COME INTO MY HOME AGAIN, & I AM ALSO FILING A COMPLAINT WITH *** LICENSE BUREAU REGARDING ************** AND HIS UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES.
We were hired by the property managements and paid by them. Further we provided the 2nd visit complimentary and last visit free.
5. I am a 62 yr old woman who continues to live with these Fungus Gnats after 3 visits from this company, and ************** is an employer who talks very condescending to female clients, he definitely needs help with his etiquette and office skills.
