I've been having major problems with KitSplit. They are like the "airbnb" for photo/video equipment. I rented my gear on their platform over a year ago (Feb 2022), and it resulted in a $10k+ loss (due to damages, missing items, AND half of the original rental fee that they didn't pay).I was told in MAY 2022 by ***************************************************** that I would received MONTHLY payments of $1k until paid in full. I received 1 payment, and then NOTHING until November 2022. After reaching out dozens of more times, the co-founder, *************, messaged me to apologize and sent 1 more "monthly" payment to me via Zelle in November 2022. Then NOTHING since... and no one will or has responded to my emails since then. I HAVE ONLY RECEIVED 2 monthly payments since May. They still owe me $8k+.It is incredibly difficult to reach anyone at the company. The listed phone number goes to a machine that says to email them. I email the customer service platform and might finally get a brief response after sending multiple messages for months, and my questions are ignored. I have saved all my correspondence between myself and kitsplit, I only attached a few screen shots to this complaint.I have read through many reviews online and many other people share similar complaints of Kitsplit not paying what is owed.I have never experienced such a lack of communication and information from a company before.Kitsplit has been frustrating & unethical to say the very least.Customer response
