I am completely understanding in that we are living in a world where there are many staffing shortages. This was very apparent at your hotel as I had a hard time finding anyone to speak with or help. When I was waiting to check in, the gentleman working at the front desk was in the midst of calling one of his colleagues to come in and cover for him. I'm a patient person so I let this go. To start our stay, we had a ton of stuff to bring to our rooms and the elevator was broken/out of order. The room that I was put in (203) was apparently a non-smoking room but smelled like someone had just smoked 25 cigarettes in it. The window was full of condensation and there was black mold everywhere. The bathroom had hair everywhere and was not cleaned. The cleaning staff even failed to remove a pair of underwear from the previous guest that was strewn over the shower rod. My husband had to use a towel to remove it and throw it in the corner. My family members who stayed in the room next to us (201) were missing a BLANKET, pillows and no one ever came to bring them one, despite them calling. There were very questionable stains on the couch and long hair covering the temperature unit. Furthermore, the "complimentary" breakfast was less than appealing with machines that didn't work and even a sign that requested that we didn't drink the milk as there wasn't enough. Fine - I can get past all this. Everything above. Where I draw the line is when one of your staff members breaks into our room - without knocking, at 9:30PM when we had just gone to sleep. She was shocked to see us and made some claim about needing to get the rooms for the next guests. WE WERE MORE THAN 12 HOURS AWAY FROM CHECKOUT. She was clearly a crazy person who was obviously trying to find something to steal. Extremely unprofessional and made me feel beyond unsafe. I stayed in room 164 for one night. And the toilet had to be flushed by hand, upon inspection there was no chain. We advised the front desk upon check out. Being I was there for one night. Check out was Saturday March 12th at 11. When calling today the front desk was very rude would not let me talk and talked over me. Even hung up on me and when tried calling back they would not answer. It was a gentleman who did this. The man was not understanding or was willing to listen at all. I simply was asking for some sort of credit for the inconvenience but I couldn’t even get that far.Business response

Called business and spoke with front desk and the following was relayed:Consumer checked in and was in the room all night. She never failed to advise us that there was a problem until she was checking. Customers must give us a chance to correct any issues, which she did not. We could have repaired the issue or moved her to another room. Customers can not expect a refund or adjustment when you did not notify us properly once you got into the room.
