I SENT MY RAYBAN FRAME TO EYE WORLD OPTICAL FOR THEM TO ADDED A LENS TO MY GLASSES, I PAID AN AMOUNT OF $319 FOR THIS PROCESS. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACTING THEM VIA PHONE AND HAVE NOT GOTTEN A RESPONDE, IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE THIS OCCURRED AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A WORD FROM THEM.Business response

Good day! ****************** was originally in our office for a routine eye exam and new lenses for his own ******* frame on 7/15/2024. Before sending out his glasses to the lab to be worked on, we advised him that he needed to sign a document that is a waiver of any responsibility for eyeglass frames sent out to the lab to be processed if the frame is not brand new and purchased from our office. He signed the document, written in Spanish, that explicitly states that if glasses break, we are not responsible. His glasses came back and he complained that he was not seeing well. We re-examined him and modified the prescription and once again sent the lenses out for processing. Unfortunately, the frame broke at the lab, and when notified by the lab, we contacted ******************. We advised him that he would need to purchase a new frame for the new lenses that were already processed with the corrected prescription. He refused and started arguing. We explained that he was advised about the possibility of breakage using his own frame that had been used before, and that he signed a document. He would not listen and left the new lenses and the broken frame here. Prior to leaving, we provided him with a copy of the document he had signed. Currently, we have the new lenses, the broken frame, and there is no bill. We are glad to assist him in purchasing an alternate frame.
